Traders and Gunboats !

I got mine in the mail today. I thumbed through it and without reading it yet it looks very promising.
 
Recieved mine today. Looks great and I was happy it included some throw back ships from CT. But on a couple questions? Why would ships have normal weaponry (such as Flamethrower and Autocannon).

Boy I feel sorry for those on the other side of the lake that have to wait. :lol:
 
Its to help fend off boarders while the ship is on the ground... Think back to a Star wars movie... they're taking off off of a planet, the stormtroopers come around and start shooting at them and the ship...

Anti-personnel weapons...

The ships with those "anti personnel weapons" have a roll in Ground Support. Those weapons cannot be effective against other ships, but are used against ground/air targets.
 
Heh heh heh... my FLGS does a good job of carrying MGT. And next week is my birthday. All the more reason to spend some money on myself. I'm especially interested in these pirate ships, being something of an aficionado of the topic.

It's payday on Friday. So hopefully, along with buying a new Xbox (preferably, one that lets me play Fallout 3 for more than 6 hours before refusing to recognise the disc anymore :x :evil: :cry: :roll: ), I can pick up T&GB from the civilised FLGS just 100 yards from my workplace. :)

Thanks very much, and in all sincerity, I'm sorry you don't have HG or T&G yet. Typos and all, HG really is worth waiting for, and T&G is just plain great.
 
I was flipping through a copy yesterday and all I can say is BRAVO! That's one helluva nice book. If I can scrape together enough pennies I'm going to go back today and buy it!
 
For the curious, I've given this book the thrice-over with an eye toward actually playing on and with the contents. Some of my findings aren't pretty, but on the whole I like the book.
