...I would if I had a bloody book to get excited about!!!

My not very LGS better appreciate me. Could have pre-ordered, but wanted to support the store. The store is 1.5 hours from me. Was nearby yesterday due to an errand, it wasn't in yet. Should arrive today, will have to wait until Friday morning to make the 3 hour round trip again and grab it before work.

They have one saved for me, if they have an extra may grab it for my nephews if the initial page-flipping gets me excited. :)

Question: Any large US bookstore chains carrying MGT? I recall some past Mongoose stuff (Conan) in at least one large chain I have visited in the past if my memory is correct?

EDIT: Barnes and Nobles lists Mongoose Traveller on website, but availability date is June 30th.

The Citizen career made the cut! :D
How similar is it to mine?

It's different. The assignments are Corporate, Worker and Colonist and the tables are all different accordingly. You also, interestingly enough, choose your Specialist table for your Basic Training.

Barnes & Noble will indeed be carrying it, and I would expect them to have it available before the end of June. The hobby game stores are the places to buy the book at the moment, with the book chain getting the title in around a month or so.

This is still good. And did Belter end up as its own career or is it still a branch of Drifter?

Thanks, that makes sense. B&N website showed a release date of June 30th. I like the idea that the game shops get them way earlier, helps keep them open - reason I'm waiting, didn't pre-order, and wasting gas money at the current prices to get mine at a game shop

The Belter is basically the Colonist assignment for the Citizen. The Drifter's assignments are Barbarian, Wanderer and Scavenger.

Very Shiny... I have read through mine TWICE now and I still keep pulling cool stuff out of it!

(just found the Optional World Gen rules! I made the book! (well, so did eDG... most of it was his anyway).

I have 2 settings that I will be using for my upcoming campaign with my kids and their friends.

1. Spinward Marches circa 1248 using the Avenger Enterprise Spinward States book

2. Homebrew ATU set in the Plieades Cluster that I have had around since 1977. I intend to redo the worlds using the "Hard Science" options and see what it looks like. The main quadrant only had a dozen or so important worlds that I have detailed in depth and they are all habitable worlds, so I don't think the HS option will affect it much. I will be interested to see how it looks.
