The counters with the game ?

The counters that come with VaS, are they sheets of counters you punch out or pages of counters you copy from the book and cut out ?

Depends on which printing of it you find. The first print run of VaS had punch out counter sheets, subsequent printings have had counter pages in the back of the book for you to copy.

Would the Axis and Allies War at Sea minis be out of place sisewize ? Could ranges etc.. be redone easily if so ?

We've got a group of 9 players and we all use A&A War at Sea ships.

They look bigger on the table, but all ranges, movement, and firing arcs are center to center so you don't have to make any adjustments to range.
We like the larger 1/1800 scale A&A ships because the detail is good and most of us are older and they are easier to see and recognize.
