i got this fancy D70 cam and have taken some cool out door shots..

but i was going to take some shots of my 6 mm modern armies to show you guys but i cant get em anny good at all.. and i do not know what im doing wrong : \

anny tips?

You need macro mode or zoom (how to do it check your camera manual) good lamp and tripod . I'm not master in it but this things you 'll realy need. Also there is always need in something like Photoshop - colours and pics in any case will need editing to make it look more like in "life" .
Tripod is highly recomended

hmm what abaout light or dark background?

suggestions on that?

Try it to be in contrast with miniature if you plan to edit it or in harmony if you'll leave it as is . But don't use halftones (especially of yellow ) cameras go nuts on it - white almost always fine for later to edit.
