Sleeping in Light live battle reports

It's one thing I've noticed between this and the EC War weekend - winning on the first day is pointless as Matt will do something to tip the tables.

Everything, and I mean _everything_ for Sleeping in Light was pre-written.

Okay, Sleeping in Light sit-rep, on this bright, Sunday morning.

One Chaos player dropped out, tail between his legs before the might of the forces of Order. Or he got called back to work, take your pick.

We kicked off with On the Back Foot from P&P, with Chaos defending - smacked silly by yesterday's games, they now had everything to prove. Simon Chandler and Andreas Cross nobly decieded to band together as brothers in arms to equalise the sides for this round (remarks made about Minbari together were coolly ignored by both).

Anyway, the stage is set, and both sides are eager to steal a lead before lunch.

In the afternoon, the Big Games start. . .

i dont think matt did anything to tip the tables in E/C war anyway, just 2nd day the centauri players picked up their game

cool - so how are the games going? :)

is anyone taking photos for S+P?

I am afraid our house photographer is not here today (and you really don't want me trying my hand - a lot of 'thumb shots' would result!).

I think LBH needs a hug right now, as he is facing Gaim again with his ISA, and he is not too confident, despite him bringing the Tara'Lin to the table. . .

but on the bright side it should be a win for Chaos and some useful reinforcements for the other Chaos fleets 8)

to be fair Gaim against ISA is not the favourite match up for the Rangers

Okay, sit rep.

Chaos is slapping Order about like the proverbial. Through a combination of skill, tactics, and some truly hideous dice rolling, Chaos is currently 6 for 6 in this round - only Greg Smith is left. Can he uphold the honour of Order and claim just one victory?

No. No, he couldn't.

Chaos is seven for seven, as we move into the penultimate round, and the start of the Big Battles!

And we are off for the penultimate round! A huge battle this one, and if Chaos win, they will be right outside the Vorlon homeworld!

Players are using their entire fleets, in a standard Call to Arms bash.

Is LBH having a better day?

Going head to head with another ISA fleet at the moment.

Results should be coming in soon, just an hour to go until the end of this round!

oh dear - he is playing Kens ISA - that could be brutal if Ken is on form  and he usually is.

There does seem to be a lot of Scottish cursing coming from that table.

However, taking a trip round the tables just now, there are a lot of games that seem _very_ close. . .

I am assuming that Z'Ha'dum looks pretty safe then? :D

Do the Shadows get a free Shadow Cloud to play with if they get to the Vorlon homeworld

or more likely, do they just slap them around a bit and say - "Ha ha we won, see you again in 500 years............." :P

The first result is in, and it is a win for Chaos. As I speak, a Shadow vessel is off to reinforce a very tight Drakh vs. Vorlon fight.

And as I type this, I have just been handed another result! A Psi Corps duel has resulted in Byron's hippies being brought (forcibly) back into the fold. Another win for Chaos!

Okay, latest sit rep!

Order fought long, and hard and true in that round - but still lost 3 games to 4. I am therefore officially transferring my support to Chaos!

The final round has, well, finally begun - and it caused at least ten minutes discussion for both teams before any dice were rolled!

The premise was simple. Players on both sides were divided up equally between two tables, and each could take just one ship from their fleet roster. The last side standing would win (and, remember, this is for the Vorlon homeworld!).

There is, however, one complication. In each End Phase, each side can place a Jump Point on the other table, and move one ship to it, appearing in that table's next Movement Phase.

This caused a lot of diabolical scheming for both sides, as they plotted which ships to take, what to move over and when!

The dice have started rolling, we'll quickly get some results in!

very interesting - can the Shadows use their version of jump points - as that could be nasty

Glad Ben took a War level Shadow Ship :)
