Ship Viewer goes wiki

Hi all,
Since I don't play VAS much any more, keeping my Ship Viewer up-to-date with the stats and adding new ships isn't much of a priority for me. So, I have decided to make it openly editable by anyone. You can now add new ships, edit existing ones, and delete old/erroneous ones. When using the sheets in games, please be sure to check the stats in case someone has incorrectly edited it

Have a look at the format before adding new ships. Please try to keep it the same. For example when adding weapon traits type "TL/W" rather than anything else.

Please don't abuse it... I'll be taking regular backups of the database, and logging IP addresses of all additions, editing and deletions. Anyone abusing it (eg. deleting all the ships) will have their IP subnet blocked.

Also, I have moved the ship viewer to a new host. This has much higher bandwidth allocation so you should never get the dreaded "Bandwidth usage exceeded" message any more. It should also be faster in operation. The new URL is: http://burger.sentientrabbits.com

I've been using the Ship Viewer quite often, and I think it's a great resource. However, I'm not keen on having to cross-check for changes made by others. I'd prefer that you keep a "locked" version available.

There is now a static version, which shall remain as the current stats (not updated with new ships) and a wiki version, which anyone can edit.

Good site, very well designed. The fleet design thing is very handy is very handy. I've made two additions to the Wiki (the Dido class AA cruisers and Revenge class BB). Also made a couple of notes on the Nelsons to the effect of their too fast and to poorly armoured.

On a slightly separate note I tried out the stat for the Wellington Bomber on given, sudy but you do realize that as it stand the Wellington is significantly slower than the swordfish :shock:
