Sentient Rabbits Tourney - 16th Feb 08 (UK)

Yeah, it's going to be tough... people will have to play *very* carefully in the first two rounds, and possibly try to run away if things start to look bad!

I'd suggest trying to use big ships with good fire arcs all round in case of nasty crits blowing out weapons. The terrain should also make it somewhat more difficult for swarm fleets to bring their firepower to bear on a single large target than it would be on an open board.

I'm not trying to make it impossible to use a swarm if you want to, just less attractive than it normally is!

Hi Ships with self repair can repair half their damage - can they repair criticals? If so I presume no one else can?

thanks

Tank,

Will you require details of our fleets prior to the tourney?

May I also take this opportunity to wish everyone at SR all the very best for the festive period and a peaceful new year,

Kind Regards

Digger.

Put me down for a spot.

Re models. As there are many fine counters out there, can we use those?

What about non-Mongoose models? As it's not a Mongoose event, can I use toys from another company so long as I tell my opponent what is what? (I'm considering a UNSC fleet from GZG)

Well my opinion...

Counters are fine, as are FA scale and stand-ins for unavailable ships (eg Neroon if you're crazy/stupid). Using a completely different range of ships however, I would object to that... unless it is very obvious what each one is... for example if you only have one or two ships :P

Just my opinion though, Tank has final word :)

A question comes to mind which will probably affect quite a few attendees, what is the parking like?

Is there a car park nearby that doesn't charge the earth or is there space near the shop?

Cheers

if it's where it was last time, parking is fine and at the venue itself, no fee. and Aldershot centre is a massive 5 mins or so walk away :-)
of course It may be held somewhere else, but Only tank can tell us... oh, ok, Jim can too , but you get what i mean

It's not where it was last time. It is in the Games shop, in Aldershot town centre.

I don't really know it too well, but there is a big multi storey where I usually park, and isn't unreasonably priced. It works out cheaper if you get 2 hours parking at a time but obviously you have to keep going back to top it up!
