Sensor Operator Actions

What are the limitations on a sensor operator? Do they have any sort of duties related to actually using the sensors to acquire targets (as in determining there IS a target, instead of an asteroid, it's heading, speed, if it's a threat or not, etc), trying to make an improved sensor lock, trying to break a sensor lock, trying to jam the opponents communications, trying to jam incoming missiles...

The sensor operator has a lot of options. Do they choose only ONE action each round, or do they get one OFFENSIVE and one DEFENSIVE action?

If you multiple sensor operators, would you also need multiple stations for each one? Some ships, for example, like most adventure-class ships, have relatively small bridges. There wouldn't be room for everyone to have their own console. Would these activities be able to be performed from any terminal in the ship? I would think that you would have to have a specialized sensor terminal/station to do all these wondrous activities at (which begs the question, IS there such a thing as a sensor tech terminal? Or are we going with any terminal can do any action?)

They get one action.
Perhaps intended, but not stated in the rules?

A missile EW action takes a round (presumably space combat round), so limited, but other sensor actions are not limited by the rules?

Thats kinda boring though...

The Sensor actions are:
Electronic Warfare
Sensor Lock

I think we should let them do 1 of both.
Get 1-lock on
Do 1 jamming.

I actually wish we could change lock-on to an opposed roll between the other sensor operator from the get-go and the winner has the lock-on. right now it is a little messy because it is:
Get lock-on
Oh target wants to break the lock on? target now makes an opposed roll vs you
Target gets a lock-on on you if it wants
oh you want to break it? make another opposed roll.

4 rolls to resolve 2 ships getting and maintain a lock-on on each other.
