Scaling Modules

Comments are always welcome even before the open beta. High Guard is still a work in progress.
Suggestions and ideas maybe make sense, but once you have shared your ideas, to argue about them before we see the beta just seems like a waste of energy to me. 8)

You could always use the luxuries option to increase the size of a standard stateroom. If you want a 10 tons suit, buy 2 4 ton staterooms, and add +2 tons of luxuries....viola.. 10ton luxury stateroom

Want a basic berth..buy a barracks and call it a berth. the fluff text says no one will travel in such a primitive set up..but if you change the fluff text...and document it...presto a basic berth, a bed+small desk, storage locker nothing else...common fresher, add one ton luxuries as a common shower/fresher.

if you want to just use the luxuries headings for extra room and such, without adding the +1 to steward level feel free...you can say it just makes the primitive furnishings livable.

Here's what I use for my own use....
Bunk,( acceleration couch) a Bed, storage locker, in a small niche shared fresher for all bunks. prepack, or self supplied meals..surplus MREs anyone...

Berth,( barracks) a bed, in a small cubbyhole, with small fold down table/desk shared fresher small common room can be bought as a coupe of tons of luxuries and shared by berth passengers. slightly better pre-pack meals....mmmmm hungry man dinners.

Stateroom: as written

Suite: 2 staterooms, for bigger ones I add a few tons of luxuries.

there are write-ups for shops ans stuff, you can use the same process. by using luxuries( call them upgrades)...but add a +1 to a skill if you like....

Depends on which direction you want to take High Guard, as is, or varied like Tee Five.

Since it does tend to concentrate more on the Navy side, it should be noted that most Admirals like suites.

The short traditional answer is "Wing it" you got the basic framework why do you need anything else?

A ten ton Luxury Stateroom is a Stateroom with 5 tons of extra space and a ton of luxuries.

The other end of the question is do you want the basic bits broken out so you can build the spaces yourself?

Such as, the Basic Life Support Plant, the required space for Heads, Galley, beds and lounges etc. etc...

How much oxygen do you really need to breathe?

Gym facilities would take account for the increased overhead.

0.84 Kg per day...0.00224 cubic meters of liquid oxygen..

so one or two displacement tons of liquid oxygen is enough for several people to survive on for quite a while :D

the extra life support for a gym could be paid for and accounted for the volume by buying a ton of luxuries..the volume handles the space needed for a small area with a couple of machines, and extra O2... or you could do it fast and dirty by designating a stateroom as a gym....then it has the life support, and volume figured into the cost, and volume of the stateroom as well as maintenance costs.
