Project Steel

I've had a couple of queries about the Project Steel book, so here's an
answer for those who're interested. This is copied from my SITREP on the
Avenger forums. http://www.traveller.comstar-games.com/index.php

The book will be about 60-70,000 words long, in print and PDF. It will be
statted for Mongoose Traveller only and will tie in very closely with the
Mongoose Marches book, mainly because I wrote that too.

Project Steel contains a detailed writeup of the world of Steel in 1105 plus
suffiicent background to allow it to be used as a standalone. There are
three linked adventures within:

Call of the Wild
Range War
Mouth Of Hell

Publication is anticipated for May, all being well.


The first two adventures started life as Avenger adventures for CT, back
when I was publishing Avenger's stuff through QLI. Revisions have been made
for this version.

The existing Clasic Travelelr Call of the Wild and Range War adventures will
remain available therough Avenger/Comstar until later in the year. The new
and updated single-book version will remain on sale for the forseeable
future.

Please pardon my ignorance but I did not realize the connection between you and the "Project Steel" adventures. I've only recently been tinkering with Traveller again, after a 20 year absence, and occasionally lurk or post on the Traveller forums.

I just wanted to commend your work regarding "Call of the Wild" and "Range War". They are some of the best adventures that I have read. I especially enjoy the details and potentials in ordinary encounters. The Hoylby Stead, where evenings are spent over beers and talk, or the town celebrations/mail drop off, where rumors and information can be picked up over the festivities, come to mind.

Nice work! I'm looking forward to part 3.

I'm a fan and this is good to hear... since I already have the first 2 in PDF, I'll grab the set as deadtree... possible ETA on that...?

Project Steel has been delayed by art and stuff. My part is done and it's been approved by Marc, so it's just final production stuff now.
