Prime Directive - nearly 4 years.

Caught sight of an old post on here and had to check the date on it twice. Has it really been almost 4 years since the Traveller Prime Directive book was announced?

So, what is the current status of the project? Any news?

Some issues came up in the fall; Matthew and I are working to resolve them.

I think one issue is a lot of people are going to think its Star Trek, and then they'll say, "Hey that's not right!"

Since Matthew mentioned perhaps updating the core RB, it has been on hold. We got burned on the GURPS 3e/4e switch and were left with having to trash inventory, lots of inventory. We aren't going that route again.

That said, there is a preview of the Klingon careers in Captain's Log #50. Depending onhow much changes, it may still be usable.

I'm sure this is common knowledge to many here, but I did not realize Mongoose was considering a new edition. Where did you see this? I would like to read up on this possibility. I didn't see it listed in their State of the Mongoose entry.

As I wrote, they are considering it. Until a decision is made, the project is on hold.
