pre-painted miniatures?

"A small but vocal minority" - sorry, did we have a referendum on this - any numbers? Or is it your interpretation of postings on the boards over the years?

I didn't say that those who wanted metal miniatures on this board were a vocal minority. Only that those who POST on this board are a vocal minority no matter what their opinion on the matter is. Unless of course the player base of this game is very, very small.

On the contrary, I'm sure those who love painting and kitbashing are the majority on this board. Those who post here are the most dedicated to the hobby or they wouldn't have bothered coming here in the first place.

Assuming you would want to post-pone 2nd ed release by...Oh 2-3 years?

Those SST pre-painted miniatures came up REAL fast after the success of BF: Evo. A year tops.

How come they have heaps of ships in release schedelude for this spring then?

There's always something they can add.

Agents of Gaming thought that once before as well. There are only so many ships in the B5 universe... and only so many you can make up before you can go no further.

Nah. There's no paint polices around forcing you to paint them in certain way.

I agree. There's no reason you have to use the paint schemes from the show. And often times people come up with something interesting. But even so the majority of people will anyway. Metal Stormtrooper miniatures for Star Wars would allow me to paint them in camo colors, but in the end I think I'd just prefer them in white and black.

Then it would take...Oh years to release everything in pre-painted.

They could start with just the ships actually shown in the show. Those will bring in the most new players anyway.

LOL! You forgot the fact SST:EVO has been worked on alongside BF:EVO. They didn't do BF:EVO first and THEN start working with SST:EVO...

We saw however what too much pre-painted stuff at once can do though...BF:EVO keeps suffering from delays and SST:EVO is delayed as well. Delays, delays, delays. I shudder at the thought of trying to cram ACTA with it's bigger line into it as well...

Lots of new ships Mongoose is releasing this spring speaks otherwise.

Heck Mongoose hasn't even touched some of the more interesting sectors properly: Previous shadow war, dilgar war...

Ahh, sorry misunderstood. Though it does show if you don't speak out, you cannot be counted.
