Something that has been bothering me the past week or two.
If you declare to fire the Victory's Lightning Cannon the rules state that it can do nothing apart from drift in the following turn. Im guessing this also affects the Interceptors and Defensive weapons as well - makes sense. But does it also affect the Command +3 and Adaptive Armour traits? Meaning that the Enemy gets a turn of firing at the Victory without its armour bonus and I lose my + 3 to my initiative?
Also, when the Victory is crippled and you roll to see what traits are lost, do you also roll for the Adaptive armour? Going with RAW you would, but going with the fluff it doesn't make sense as I thought the armour was based on Vorlon technology. Unless they try and write it off as some sort of shield technology.
Finally, I get the impression that alot of people on the board don't rate the Victory all that well. I personally don't see the benefits of wasting an entire turn from firing a weapon which only gives an additional +2 AD and an additional point of damage per hit over its other big weapon as well as its secondary systems.
What are others peoples opinions? Has anyone got any interesting scenarios where they used the Victory (or indeed any of the other Armageddon class ships) and has had stunning performances with them? Particularly curious to hear how well the Brivoki, Ka'Bin'Tak and Adira class ships perform.
(speaking of which, how rare is the Brivoki? I haven't seen one anywhere)
