Omega paint scheme

Erm, what? In the show it was grey too. Any brownish effects I can only think of as being from lighting effects in hyperspace. Either that or you have a really really naff TV :P (ps Id suggest going to google images and typing Omega Destroyer...)

Trust me on this they are grey ;) They look sort of brownish in the bgi fleet shot but thats cos theyre flying through hyperspace with red lighting all over the place!

The Omegas are definately grey, though they got pretty fancy with the lighting effects as the years went on, so that could be where the confusion lies. My favoured painting method for 3rd Age EA ships is to undeacoat black, then drybrush codex grey and fortress grey, gives the ship a very nice, textured grey, and is really quick too.

You may be referring to a warm grey (khaki-ish tint, could be mistaken for brown) versus a cool grey...

timeslips Clark-loyalist Omega on the left (warm grey), Some of my rebel Omegas on the right (cool grey):

Any color is fine IMO. Just don't paint them Minbari blue

Not to thread jack here, but where did you guys get the cool avatars from? One of those with an Omega would kick butt!
