Official / Unofficial Chthonian Stars for Mongoose Traveller

I was hoping the Realms of Cthulhu book could be used. But it looks like it is just for Savage Worlds. Cthonian Stars will be plenty though for me for Mongoose Traveller.

Funny you should mention it, but I was working on a Savage Worlds/Realms of Cthulhu conversion for Chthonian Stars. I was hoping to finish it after The Void came out so I could take full advantage of the Creative Commons license. However, I fear that this setting is going to go all vaporware on us.

Creative Commons licensing was planned for The Void?

I quote page 18 from the Quick-Start rules:

The Void is licensed under the creative commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license. For more information, go to creativecommons.org.

This means that you are free to share electronic versions of The Void and that you can create your own official derivatives – being supplements, optional rules, or what have you – to share with others.

It looks like WildFire was going to use a similar model as Eclipse Phase. Not a bad move considering.

Also, I was browsing the CthulhuTech forums and they were promising to start a Kickstarter for The Void this January.

Well... We'll see. It's not that I doubt WildFire's sincerity, it's just that their actual ability to deliver lately is questionable.

I'm not familiar with the WWW these days. Things are different.

The void system is the d6 system traveller works mostly on 2d6 . creature stats easily convert over with a stat name change. Not sure how the world books will work though. But the void creature descriptions are identical to chthonian stars. Same special ability names everything. This makes it easy. .... All is not lost.

If you have Chthonian Stars and Mongoose Traveller, The Void is not needed at all. The Void is a more rules-LITE book and a 3rd of the info Chthonian Stars contains. More books required, in other words, like monsters, ships, ship combat, character careers, world/system generation, equipment/weapons, etc.
