New Troligan Stats

It's a fair point, although you are being a bit picky now! But hey, I understand, any excuse to make sure that monster doesn't get used!

Well, yes. But I need to be picky, for my ship viewer. That is supposed to be a reliable resource of up-to-date official information and stats. So only official changes make it into the fleet listings, and everything else goes into a different section.

And yeah, trying to find a reason not to allow the new Troilgan with its horrendous stats... even though I'm primarily a Minbari player!
 
Sadly, I have to conclude that it is official, as much as I despise that :-(
I'm going onthe basis that their are clear unofficial stamps on other things, A new model, and Matt saying they are ready to use, and he wrote the article as a mongoose owner.

I can't quite fathom why anyone would buy the model just as the stats are so good....Counters people ...

Use the counters that'll put a stop to the evil accountants plan aka IMHO the naff miniatures with uber stats

I like my counters, but some of the newer ACTA gamers want to use mini's only.... Yes I know one of those new players actually bought the rules 1st but he never played them for over a year, whilst I used them to play other people.
 
Katadder and I have been debating what would make a good Troligan for 1st ed. and are in rough agreement. We obviously hope to get Matt's backing but it's his decision at the end of the day...
 
As others have said, culling AD would be a good start.

I dunno, a weekend away and I thought that that was an April fool. Only it's the 3rd now....

Well make it a decent battle ship, not a poorish war ship. Drop 2AD from its beam... Its then a very hard (hull 6 with a good whack of damage and crew as well as stealth) but under gunned Battleship, like the fluff says it is.
 
Personally I would've downed the crew a bit, and given it an all-round mix of fusion cannons, antimatter converters and molecular disruptors. Rather like an up-hulled, up-gunned Tigara.

It fits the fluff better.

Neutron lasers are hardly the Minbari focus below war level anyway (even if maybe they should be).

Less guns than two Tigaras combined (by about 20% or therabouts), before anyone says anything! :) And it fits the 'throwing enemy formations into disarray' part. It's also a very selective use ship, which explains its rarety.
 
Hey Alex we've moved from hotmail to here...interesting developments a foot!

I guess mine would be for tourneys where AJPing is less likely it seems now...where as you've stated yours does cover the fluff very well ie rare and as a disruption ship.

I think i might get slated about stealth 3+ but i was atuning this with the fluff and the increase in armour effecting the tech...along the lines of a certain hull 4 stealth 5+ minbo ship
 
Ah, sorry, mine should read stealth 4+ btw. I don't know if my version really relies on AJP... much as with the Tigara it is pretty darn helpful, though, as they'd have to weather alot of fire to plod across the table at speed 7 - 10.5 with APTE.
