New ships in 2nd ed?

I was curious, in the new edition, will each race be getting new ships at all? I am aware that some races are loosing varoius variants, but will ships your never or rarely see and underpowered ships, for example such as the following be getting a "makeover?"

Kutai
Vorchan
Dag'kar
G'Quonth
G'Tal
Torotha

It seems daft to have all these hsips if they are never taken or used or only very rarely

Don't forget the Demos! Several have been mentioned (in partiducalr the Vorchan and G'Quonth0 as being worthy choices now!

Yeah, most ships will be good choices for any fleet. The remainder will at least have a specific role at which they excel. All of the ships you've mentioned are pretty good now (particularly the Vorchan).

Not neccesarily. Almost every race gets something new, not neccesarily new ships.

Examples:
EA: new fighters, at least one new variant, the Myrmidion.
pak'ma'ra: plasma web
Narn: energy mines get a big boost
Shadows: two new variants (although they lose the Hunter)
Abbai: shields

We have also done our best to make sure there are no underpowered ships.

Well, all sounds positive, I am really interested in seeing the independants ships too, i.e Ispha battle globe and like.

Plus be good to have no underpowered ships, there were lots of ships I liked look off but if I used them I knew it would get messy for me. I really liked the Kutai and Morgrath in particular. In fact, it would be quite nice to see League versions of these too, as thats where they originate from.

Also ships with specific purposes that aren't sitting ducks most of the time, i.e assault ships, bombardment ships and the like. Yes, I understand they fill a certain role but they wouldn't be made so they were totally helpless it just wouldn't be strategically or financially sound.

I'm guessing that everything that you've released a figure for will have stats in the fleet book? Would hate to think you'd do a GW on us and make certain figures redundant to make us buy new ones instead.

But I'm sure you wouldn't do anything like that to your players.

Which might be worse. At least Squat players won't get their hopes up that there might be some army book a few years down the road. :lol:
