New Miniatures

Hi guys,

Just a heads up - we have had a new delivery of CTA miniatures today (and yes, many will be available at the tournament, in varying quantities).

There will be a write up for three of them in Signs & Portents this coming Tuesday (and there will be much rejoicing in ISA, Brakiri and EA circles), with the others being unveiled soon after. . .

Yet no rejoicing for the Drakh players, Matt, where do i stand on refund, I have been pretty darn patient, but I really can't see any point in this now. I mean heck the models are built, based and half painted, but this is farcical now. ( I don't now if farcical is a word, but it sounds good )

of course i could be pacified by an exchange for Brakiri goodness or crusade EA, heck even a new G'Vrahn... (I do like playing my drakh, but I need to make a stand!!)

Wonder if ISA one is the blue star? Or Valen? Would atleast give high-priority level ship OTHER than white star "something"

You can have a refund whenever you wish - that is always an open option with Mongoose. You won't insult us by asking for one However, I _can_ say that the Carrier is imminent, and the Mothership is not far behind (currently having some tweaks).

The G'Vrahn will come at the same time as the Drakh Carrier, if memory serves, and as for Crusade Era EA, well. . .

OK Matt, you have been pretty frank about this, and I have been pretty patient, although a rather vocal patient. Personally, I don't even want a carrier, I just want the mothership. now then, Iminent and not far behind, in the galactic scale could be years ;-) I have been given several dates, none of which were met (this wasn't by you, but you DID say that you thought the carrier was due after the um, er some ship several releases back!, which clearly it wasn't!) I dare you to give a date, no, I double dare you, At the end of the day, if, when I was told months and months back, it would be twelve months for the new model, I would have been naffed off for sure but it would have been honest. I just feel badly informed, mislead, and a bit peeved at the new goodies for other races, while I can't even get my main ship! Apologies for going on about it but you know.... I WANT IT NOW!!! :evil:
Hows about I wait another month eh? what about a sneak preview of the design? go on, I reckon i deserve it! Oh and can it have a metal stem!!

Depending on how much you want new design or would old model be of use howabout buying it from somewhere that has them(dancingdryad had them atleast at one point so it shouldn't hopefully be impossible task to find them) and asking for refund for the original one?

Just a thought.

Yes but you could ask for refund and buy it elsewhere then?

You get your money back for missing mothership and buy new one with that money from elsewhere.

Of course that means it would be old design rather than new so that might be good reason not to do it but just a thought.

If you don't think this is good option then that's fine by me. I have just wondered for a while why you don't go this route instead of waiting for the whole period. If Mongoose is willing to refund the mothership then it doesn't seem like it would be loss for you if you can find store that sells them still.

lets face it, the current mothership design is one ugly ship, and I was told early n that they had a lot of bad casts, so It was, at the time, a good iption to wait, I expected a couple of months, after all, how long does it take to design, but nooo......

I think THAT is the most distressing point in all of this. I mean, how many ships have we seen in the last year? We even saw a new race (Pak'Ma'Ra) and we can't get a simple redesign?

It's pretty intolerable.

I feel sorry for Hiff but I'd have asked for a refund a long time ago

but my point was going to be that the Pak'Ma'Ra aren't a good example because Mongoose just used pre-existing moulds for the Porfatis/Psul'Shi/Urik'Hal with the others being league ships

Actually, msprange, I understand your calamities here, but this is getting pretty bad. I think Hiffano is at the "show me, don't tell me" stage. I don't blame him one instant. If there are tweaks going on, something should be showable -- a computerized model, a green prepared for casting that needs updates, or a GIF from a cmera of a prototype.

Hiff's right, he, at least, has earned it.

If there are no tweaks or anything to show --- that will explain it for itself.

The problem is that they were both tweaked after the initial design was done. The Mothership is currently undergoing its fourth revision - it is a case of it being released when it is ready, and not beforehand.

Until that revision is complete, I cannot put a date on it. However, I _will_ say that you will get the second Mothership that comes out of the forge (the first goes to our painted).

This ship is in the same group as the Drakh Carrier and Mothership - expect them to come out at about the same time.
