My Lone Wolf RPG

Thought I would just share some of the rules I have been creating in order to start an online RPG. It is designed a s 'quick and dirty' game, based on the books themselves. I have no idea if it is even close to Mongoose's new system, but hopefully it will prove fun to play.

You can find a PDF of the basic rules here: http://members.wideband.net.au/crymson/Rules.pdf

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. I'll be posting character classes shortly. I am hoping to get the game started in a week or so; anyone interested please let me know.

I just recently discovered DRAGON WARRIORS and thought the fairly simple mechanics would lend themselves nicely toward a LW campaign. Obviously ripped from 1E B/AD&D, but stripped-down and rules-lite.

All,

I enjoyed your posts.

Eternalknight, i liked your the rules you created in order to start an online RPG. Your focus on 'quick and dirty' games, does reflect the series better.

Yogah of Yag, thanks for the link to DRAGON WARRIORS (DW). The DW system in a lot of ways was far better than D&D. It is unfortunate that the series never picked up with fans of RPGs. The fairly simple mechanics do lend themselves nicely toward a LW campaign. I also like the fact that DW goes really well with Castles and Crusades.

http://www.pobursky.com/ This link is not working now, but Jarod M, Trant did a great job of converting the Kai Lord to both D&D 1st and 3rd editions. If you can not get the link to work PM me and I will send it to you by email.

I own two copies of all Mongoose's Lone Wolf Books and consider it great refeence material. But, I prefer Castles and Crusades to run Lone Wolf Campains.

My last thought on this issue is that D&D 4th ed. would work well for Lone Wolf Characters. I do not like it though.

Thanks,

Joe
