The New MRQ Wiki!

Given the problems that have been plaguing the old MRQ Wikipaedia, we've spent the last week setting up and replicating it to a new server under a new name, where we can have some better control over managing access to it. We can also expand the website part of it as necessary, too.

So, the MRQ Wiki is now at:

http://www.mrqwiki.com/

or, for the front page of the Wiki itself:

http://mrqwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page.

I think Magistus and I have copied everything across (Magistus has done a fantastic job, here, and deserves plenty of applause and praise). If you find any problems, do let us know.

We will be adding further security features to it as things go along - the main issue is making sure they work with the latest version of the Wiki.

Have fun with the new Wiki!

Excellent! Thank you very much for all the work. It is appriciated. By the way I really enjoy the stuff Sceaptune games puts out. Just picked up the Lost Isles pt 1 and loved reading it.

So now that the new locked down wiki is up, and we seem to have everything moved over, everyone come join and add new content, or help in some way such as adding categories to the wiki articles.

Wanted to tank pete Nash for donating the rules he wrote for combat, check it out.

Interesting, it sounds similar to what I suggested in this post - basically just look at the difference between success levels.

Sorry I tanked on the last wiki, folks. I went through a bad spot in my life -- I got a divorce, I had to sell Seraphim Guard, etc. -- and I just didn't have the CPU cycles to devote to it. I came up here today to ask if anyone wanted to take it over because I have to cancel the domain.

Looks like that's already been done. :)

I'm glad that it's still running and on it's own site. Again, sorry I tanked.

Tim.

Tim!

Glad you still around and kickin' Folks were gettin' worried about you. Not me, of course, just folks.

Sorry about the trouble, sounds like a bad one-two punch. Hope things pick up.

Just to let everyone know, though Magistus and I are aware.

The mrqwiki's ISP upgraded to a new version of php. Unfortunately, at the same time they also switched the user under which the wiki software ran... and that means new files cannot be uploaded. Other content can still be updated/loaded.

I'll let you all know whn the issue is fixed.

The upload issue with the wiki has been resolved.

File uploads (up to 2MB, but preferably less than 150K) are possible. The issue was with the switching over of the web server (not the wiki) to a new version of php, which changed users... and hence file accesses.

If anyone has a problem, do let me know.

If anyone has a larger file that _really_ needs to be uploaded, and they can persuade Magistus or I that it's a must, do get in touch with either of us and we can upload it via a different route.

Hey Half bat I see you started a page for Trollball, with a note saying rules for MRQ will be published later. Does that mean it will be published on the Wiki or like a PDF for sale? Just curious.

How do I contribute stuff to the Wiki?

I have a combined list of rune spells from the core book and the Spell Book, which also lists the runes needed to cast them. It is in Excel and runs to 307 entries, so probably worth leaving as a spreadsheet.

Anyhow, I know nothing about Wikis so what do I do?

Did someone delete my mrqwiki-account? I wanted to upload the new srd-version, but my account didn't exist - I am pretty sure I had one...
