Maximum range of weapons?

Core Book p156: "Attacking with weapons mounted on spacecraft uses the same rules as detailed in the Combat chapter, ... [except] ... The Range of weapons is noted in Range Bands, not metres."

Core Book p73: "Extreme Range: If a target is beyond the weapon’s Long Range but less than four times the Range away, it is
at Extreme Range. The attacker will suffer DM-4 when making an attack roll."

So if I have a Pulse Laser with Range = Rangeband Long, can I attack a ship at Rangeband Distant using Extreme Range?
Or is the Pulse Laser strictly limited to Rangeband Long?

Oops, found the answer on Core p157:

Note that, for Spacecraft scale weapons, ranges are listed in Range Bands and they cannot attack targets that lie beyond their listed Range Band.
