Love for the Aliens

The more Technomage stuff from Mongoose the better. Keep up the good work.

Okay, but please don't expect a Technomage battleship or full fleet list :) As of this time, we are viewing the pinnace as nothing more than a one off. . .

Thanks Matt,

That's all I was really expecting. I was just kind of including the RPG into my statement as well. I really appreciated the udates in S&P and I hope to see more some time this year.

The one of ships for CTA are definately something I am interested in. As your modeling process improves, it sounds like you will be able to produce many more of these in the future.

I suggest that you keep a single PDF on the website that has the ship stats for all the 1 off ships that come out after the 2e book. That would reduce a lot of the clutter in CTA and make it much easier for new players, like myself, to get in to the game. Currently the only way I have to get acurate stats are to use the shipviewers people here have been nice enough to make.

Thanks again Mongoose team.

yes but BF Evo doesnt have a book of ship stats. And what about the people who already own lots of ships? I would say its too late to do cards WITH ships but doing a pack of cards for each fleet available to buy would be a nice idea. Or you could go to Chernobyls website and use his :)

Really? I thought you played EA and Shadows, both of which are fully up to date now. Theres still a way to go before he gets them all done but most of the major races cards are done now :)

What I would love to see is a decent Narn raid ship...heck if you guys don't even do a new model please make some kinda fresh variant on the rothan or t'loth. The G'Koth is okay but too slow( and not always aloud depending on who you are playing with) Something with a beam would be good.

Also are the Ka'Bin'Tak and G'Vrahn being totally remodelled currently?

When I saw the mention of plans for the Centauri, for a moment I hoped against hope that we would see a preview of the '21st Century' fleet from Wars of the Centauri Republic - and perhaps a few of their more notable adversaries from that era!

No, I can't let the Orieni idea go. I'm sorry.

So, what are our chances of seeing either the Hyach or the Cascor at some point in the future? Both races have minis from the old AOG Fleet Action scale and could be used somehow. The same is the case with the FA Abbai Lyata & Skiatha. I also noticed recently that there are several Vree & Dilgar FA minis that may or may not have been used. As many of the FA Vree and a few Dilgar minis don't have pics on the AOG site, it is hard to tell. With all the old AOG moulds that are still not in use it is a wonder that we don't see enough League ships to dwarf all 3 Earth fleets combined. I am sure that some of the models are not that useful but others could be of great use for expanding the League or adding ships to other races. Using some of these would make the eventual fleshing out of the Dilgar easier as well.

There are also FA fighters that could be used like the Brakiri Piktos and the fighters for the Hyach and Cascor. Looking at the pics of the Wars Falkosi, Frazi, and Gorith, they could all be used for something. I am really hoping that the Pak'ma'ra stuff is a sign of things to come and we keep getting more minis that have just been on the shelf.

Please don't take any of this as complaining, I would like to see more ships and Mongoose making more money. I am really digging the expansion of the League and I will soon be fielding a huge League force of all current, component races. I am just hoping that we will eventually see at least a couple of ships for each League race. I know that progress is ongoing and I am happy, but I am also apparently greedy.

On the subject of expanding the League, I wouldn't mind seeing some rules on the books (figuratively speaking) for the old Markab Shafab-class Heavy Cruiser. Not even a complete list, really (though that would be nice), just a way to field it in, say, a Combined League Fleet of the Dilgar War era. It would be a handy means of getting any of those old Gaim Moas models that might be floating about (>.>) onto the tabletop again. And it would be something new to shoot at, which would likely please at least some of those armchair Warmasters out there! Bloodthirsty fellows that they are.

Which, of course, I say with all possible deference . . . >.>

*goes into hiding for fear of Dilgar reprisals and possible virus bombing*

I hate anything and everything to do with Technomages - kill them all!

but then I found the Rangers irritating and really hoped the Shadows would win...................

Death to all techomages, I can't stand them either. I actually thought having a Mage & rogue in crusade really wrecked crusade, It's Sci Fi not fantasy.

Silly question, will Pak and Gaim ships be selectable for mixed League fleets? Does anyone even USE mixed league fleets?

They should be as they were members of the League. We have a couple of league players at our LGS

Which LGS would that be? I am orignally from the Chicago area. Waukegan, IL. There was a large B5 Wars group at Friends Hobby there, many of the same folks I played Battletech, SFB and Warhammer against. If they knew the success I have had at B5:ACTA so far, they would be in shock. I did not win a single game of ANYTHING back then.

Games Plus in Mt. Prospect. However, when I need to find very rare figs, I do make the trek to Friends Hobby.

I know, the place is a gold mine. And about as clean! Hah! But really, Bob is a friend of mine and that was a cheap shot.

Technomages were definately among the stupidest things in B5. So was whatshername who "thought like rogue" or whatnot. Then again most of the B5 made for TV movies sucked as did most of Crusade.

Agreed, they were moronic "ooh we use technology to simulate magic!"
