LBB2: High Guard

Emperor Mongoose
Scheduled for a June 2010 release:

The Little Black Books return! Harking back to the original release of Traveller in the 70’s, the Little Black Books from Mongoose bring the latest version of Traveller to your gaming table in a handy and collectible size.

Command the stars themselves with the most powerful fleets ever assembled. Dedicated to Naval characters, whether actively serving on a frontline warship or semi-retired on a rusting tramp freighter, High Guard expands the possibilites of space combat.

With a new and highly evolved starship construction system and a wealth of choices for weapon emplacements and other additions, no captain will want to venture into space withouot this important manual at his side. Naval characters will also benefit from new career options and choices made during creation that will see them prepared for the worst the galaxy can throw at them.

Does this new and highly evolved starship construction system only offer better options than the core book, or does it offer improvements to the already-released Book 2 High Guard?

Furthermore, is it the plan that the other previously-released books - Scout, Psion, Agent, Scoundrel - and Supplements and Adventures will eventually find their way into LBB form as well?

Last question - what other Traveller setting books (including new books yet to be launched) are in the pipeline for release in LBB form?

Book 2: High Guard has the same blurb, I'm guessing it's just a smaller form factor.

This thread seemed to imply that High Guard was getting upgraded (at least errata):

As High Guard and Mercenary were the first books published it may be time to revisit them and give them the makeover that Psion and all after got. After all, HG especially is a pretty significant tome, and will be among most refs/players purchase list.

Hi guys,

Just to let you know, we will indeed be going through these two books in the near future - watch out for a post asking for comments!

I would expect to see some difference from the first printing of High Guard, no reason not to as it's already done in a revised printing.
