Judge Dredd - Is actually out yet?

I was going to wait for it to appear in my local shop, but had noticed that the Mongoose store had it for sale (for some time before I ordered) and couldn't wait so I ordered it, that was a week ago. I still haven't seen it in the shops and my copy hasn't arrived yet...So is it out?

Yes I have had it for a little over a week, I think Mongoose said they were mostly away at GenCon the last week or so so that will have slowed down their postage I would think
 
Yes, I think at this stage only a few advanced copies have gone out (I got mine off someone on ebay!). The general release still hasn't happened as far as I can tell (neither IGUK or Liesure Games have it yet)
 
You'll likely see it at Leisure Games the week after next (small chance of next week, and US stores should have it next week too).
 
Cool i think im gonna take a trip into manchester in a couple weeks, so i may see if i can grab a copy from fanboy3 while im there since i havent been in there for a fair old while.

I've actualy ordered directly from Mongoose, any news when I should expect it?
 
Funnily enough my copy that I'd ordered from Mongoose just arrived today..... so now i have two :D

You luck, lucky b... :D Do any of you guys go to RPG.net forums as there is a thread there, with a guy wanting info on the game.
 
I take that back, I'm a Lucky Lucky B...My copy just arrived, holy crap its a thing of beauty, I love what Mongoose has done with the Traveller rules, but IMHO the book is a bit of a dog, but this.... got to go read!
 
Created my first character, what a great experiance, my player really enjoyed it, and we both can't wait to get playing, it seems Traveller and 2000AD are a very good match, cant wait for SD, Lawrence Whitaker has done an outstanding job with Judge Dredd, I hope his hard at work on more JD goodness.

Thank you very much. I thoroughly enjoyed working on Dredd.

I went Back to Back on Dredd and Bad Moon Rising, followed by Strontium Dog (which I hope will be every bit as fun, if not more so). However I'm now taking a well-earned break from Traveller and 2000AD themes and working on something entirely different. No doubt I'll return to Dredd and Johnny Alpha for future projects.
 
Me too..... Was just listening to one of the Big Finish SD audio adventures and it really fired me up for an SD game. :D
 
Honestly - No sign of the game in Travelling Man or Forbidden Planet in Manchester. Fan Boy 3 closed on a bank holiday monday (sometimes the business decisions of game store owners amazes me) so maybe it was in there but as I work I won't be able to find out till Saturday, and no sign of the game on Amazon...

Distribution seems to not be a strong point. I know I can order it from here, but the site expressly discourages that.

It was no different when the D20 version came out. It was certainly very different when GW had the licence, but possibly only because they had thier own stores even back then so there was at least a stockist where stuff was displayed prominently and promoted. As it is, unless I come to this site, I can't seem to buy the game even from specialist shops, a couple of weeks after its release, in a major City. Not ideal.

Asked my local store to order JD book months ago , they still dont have one.

Matt said on the 28th it will be out in the US next week (ie this week) and at Leisure Games (in the UK) the week after (ie w/c 7 Sept).

There were some advance copies at Gencon, which is why some people have them, and those who ordered through Mongoose are gettiing theirs, but going through games stores is always going to be slower (but less costly on the postage).
 
Obviously, having been one of the folks fortunate enough to be running the game at Gencon, I've got the book. I know a PILE of the Hobby Stores here are really waiting for this one, as well as more Pocket Guides for the core rules since they can't keep those things on the shelves here.

Don't forget when you all finally get your books, to take a look through them, and see if you can spot the JIMP. :D
