since fighters are considered ships unless otherwise mentioned, and nowhere does it say that you cannot loan AF to fighters. Unless you can point us to the line that says AF can't be loaned to fighters.

Hopefully they'll reprint the rulebook and it won't be so vague in numerous places....but i wouldn't hold your breath

I'm not bothering using this fighter unless I end up using it with a mixed type fleet. For now, I'm going pure White Star. That means fast. With a Mvt of only 8, blah...

Whatever the reasoning, THAT is just plain sick.

I'll just park a screen of Kotha Fighters around whatever escort ship I;ve got and swarm your attacking fighters, then loan AF to my fighters. So what if your fighters are hugely superior? I just squished them with Kothas! Talk about embarrassing...

I've missed the "just plain sick" part....

all races with escorts can do it, so the kotha could all be gone due to YOUR af depending on the race. But it has been suggested as the only real use for kotha is as af retargeting pods.

Some fighters start with af.

And the S&P article is not done by Mongoose as often as not. It's fan support that they just give space too. And it's often wrong... see the discussions of kotha being used as interceptors, etc.
