Intra-system Shipping Costs?

The PCs do not have a ship. How much does it cost to book a seat on a intra-system flight? Or to send a ton of intra-system cargo?

Most of the published adventures peg the cost of a ticket from Highport to Lowport at 10-15 credits. So anywhere else in system would be from there to no more than 100 credits is my way of thinking.

For cargo is more complicated. Is it an immediate need? Or just resupplies? Largish dumb box with a M1 drive - point it where it needs to go and hit start. Let them catch it on the other side. So the cost to ship can be fairly low. It is speed of delivery that costs.

Right, because intra-system trade can be on with the current global pattern of last-minute delivery so as not to have more inventory on hand than is absolutely necessary. Didn't think of that. Thanks!

CT numbers, can't be bothered to look up MgT numbers.
1000Cr per ton per one week of transport so Cr140 per to per day
Calculate the transit time using m-drive.

Passenger cost can be computed the same way.

You are welcome, there is also the possibility of insystem jumps, if it is going to take more than a week to get there on m-drive (which it could if you stick to the 1000D rule).
My headcanon has the type A free trader being originally for insystem trade - the Amazon delivery van of the 57th century.

You could cost account it, since you don't, or won't, need a jump drive and requisite fuel tanks.

So time spent underway, plus return trip, possibly empty, would be the variable.

Ive had fun with numbers for passenger chuttles and cargo shuttles. With giving costs for hangar space, employees. Pilot, mechanics, sales/customer service and using half full as the break even point.
The M drive make it really cheap to run intra system stuff. Since passengers and cargo both rely on ship squares they share similar price, of like 15-20 credits.
