Interest in a SF ACTA tournament at Warlords of Walsall?

Just for the Tourney I will purchase and open infront of people a new die set. So my Dice Mojo does not have time to inprint on the new dice.

Excellent guys! :)

Right, there seems to be enough interest in B5, so I'd be happy to run us a classic tournament!
I will work on the rules pack etc later, I'm sure you all will feel confident that any pack, will be run past you all first, so everyone is happy with what they are playing.

So for now, can each of those interested, give me a list of dates (weekends) that they are available. I'll be looking at running this alongside a malifaux tourney, so the weekends we're looking at, are the last two weekends in November and the first two weekends in December. When you post the list, can you please indicate which you would prefer, I will try to accommodate everyone . . . but I obviously need to find a compromise that suits the most people.

Cheers guys, look forward to seeing you all, later in the year :)

Rich.

Saturday 10th & 17th November and Saturday 8th December are good for me.

Saturday 24th November I will be away that weekend. Saturday 1st December is Dragonmeet which I shall probably be attending.

I can do Sat 17th, Sunday 18th November
I can do Sat 24th, Sunday 25th Nov

I can't do weekends in December as likely to be working.

I am also interested to see Malifux in action as I have it and some of the models but not played it and looks good :)

Suggestions: How about a random partner doubles tournament ;)

Excellent, can someone get in touch with Kenny, and see if he can do the 17th of November? That seems to be the runner at the moment; also does anyone here from Digger or TGT any of those guys?

Spoke to Ken and he is up for it - I'll poiint him towards the forum to see what date works :)

Not spoke to Neil and the guys down there for ages - Burger sometimes comes on but not sure if he still plays

I sense a clash with my wedding and stag do here :-(

eaverman sold up as far as i know, Burger may still be interested though.

I'm also fine for 17th November, but don't have a B5 fleet or current rules.

I could run an SFU demo if there is a spare table.

If that does not work - I can always lend you a B5 fleet for the day - I have most of them - except Narn - don't ask for Damned Narn ;)

i can offer narn, minbari, EA, Centauri in FA scale.

I never played the latest edition of the rules, so I wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight. NA or SFU I have played a bunch of times.

The new edition of VAS may be out by then as well.

well to be fair, Da Boss HAS read the rules, and he never puts up much of a fight either ;-)

I'm not sure what you mean by "latest edition". P&P made some minor tweaks, notably in the FAP breakdown - if you're in a Battle level game and try to break 1 Battle point down to 4 Skirmish as per original 2nd Edition, your opponent will probably soon correct you. :) Some ship data were changed and some new variants added; have a look through the P&P ship viewer on Burger's site to see what has changed, especially on any ships you're thinking of using.

But the main rules are pretty much the same, so unless you never got as far as learning 2nd Edition either, you should be fine. ;)

NA and B5 are very similar - except that with many B5 ships you have lots of attack dice 8)

This may be another good reason for a doubles tournament - H can show Ben how to slaughter me in B5 - although Ben seemed pretty adriot in the recent SF tourament.
