How would you covert AvP to SST?

Well, going from Aliens and Alien vs Predator. The humans have their HUGE robotic guns, but are otherwise not all that good. The Predators can easily handle a few Aliens on their own, while an Alien can handle alot of humans in close combat.
Hard to say really, then the humans have smartguns and such.
The Aliens have the Queen, Facehuggers and Chestbusters along with Praetorains (spelling?) and Predaliens.

Yeah - but I'm most interested in an AvP (the movie) as a starting point. To me that means the Predators are highly developed. The humans are noobs in the war. The human I was refering to as "human ally contingent" is the chick from the movie because we're getting a click of her anyhow... and she really did help the Pred beat the Alien. And the Aliens are the mutual enemy of everyone... with the most diversity in their ranks.
Once we get a solid set of stats for AvP - then making more for super Marines of the future wouldn't be hard.

As for the Aliend piercing, maybe it woulds lose its +1 in CC and get piercing/1 instead?

Seriously, I'm most interested in the current movie AvP and it's sequel coming December as the source material for this conversion. Anything from the two Predator movies that helps advance weaponry for an AvP game is fairplay but everything from the Aliens franchise should be for "advanced rules" after a decent AvP is established.
Besides, I've already mentioned I plan to use WK's new AvP Clix for this game and they're AvP-only.
We've got a good start on all the ideas for AvP... just need to come up with values.

I can't wait for the second movie! I have the first, extinction, the PC games, etc etc. I wonder if someone goes out to see what happened to the whole expedition now that only one person came back and finds the queen, plus I wanna see how Weyland industries and the Yutoni company merge into Weyland Yutoni. There isn't much said so far about the movie, or its plot, but go to planetavp for the most info available to the public and the cast list.

I ask that you make sure these are well balanced with the SST game. Stratos has already handed me my head a few times. I don't need my MI to totally get destroyed by AvP too.
I'm probably going to be forced to shelf everything and get my Exo Platoon up and running! :twisted:

Well usually there are a few humans, a tonne of aliens, and three predators(or less). So maybe like most alien types are generally cheap, marines, civvies and artic exploration guys are maybe around the price of a LAMI or something more, err maybe Cap troopers, predators, will be expensive, but strong and resilient(untill some SADARs his butt) :lol: . Well maybe when I have time to I could bring up some point values or something...
I'd like to suggest that you use the aliens and predators from the game Aliens vs Predator 2. Aliens have 4 basic adult classes- drones, runners, predaliens, and praetorians. Predators are Light Pred (sniper/recon), Pred (basic), Heavy Pred (few weapons, but tons of armor), and Assault Pred (fire support). Human weapons are a pistol, pulse rifle, shotgun, grenade launcher, flamethrower, sniper rifle, smartgun, and minigun. Try googling the game, or go to planetavp.com. I've played Aliens vs Predator Extinction, but I must say that the game's differing between warriors and drones is rather unfluffy (compared to movies), the whole Praetorian Egg idea conflicts with the other games, and the bizarre predator classes made my head hurt. AVP2 is a great game, and is mostly regarded as canon.

Don't forget the Marine classes! Specialist, demolitionist, sniper, heavy weapons, and exo suit. Oh and Synthetic, but we know they are snthetic right? :lol: Bad puns, continous bad puns...
I know Stratos, that you want the modern humans, but I love the colonial marines so much more...
