im loving what i got, there is no way on eath i would have this much painted this soon after release. i can actualy spend my time on some terrain.

just wondering why cant warmachine be prepainted lol,

as for the rules, awsome game system doese every thing we need.

They ROCK!!!!!!!

I went on saturday with an open mind, and came away with over 1000pts of brits which are going to kick caliet commie ass tonight

They do indeed rock. I enjoyed them. Should become popular at the local club simply because it's pre-painted.
But the rules are awesome to match, I mean there are better rulesets, but this one certainly is up there with Warmachine (Personal opinion, remember Im allowed mine and you are allowed yours too ;)).

The minis are painted well enough to be used straight away in a game, not to a display standard, and imo just about there on gaming standard. But being OCD I have to repaint them at least a little.

I bought the MEA Techinicals for example, these are awesome models, very light which felt wierd. Just a few drybrushes and touh ups made it look a hell of a lot better. The next box I buy will be completely re-painted.

So yeah, get into it, gamer, painter, whatever, they are nice models. Really.

well i bought alot on the open day, then played a game on monday night, and bought a ton more next day.
its such a flexable game.

That is awesome news! RiverRatt have been looking forward to this game for months. 8)

I am pumped! To the few who compared it to Warmachine ...that used to be a good game.

Thanks for the input! I appreciate your opinion.

Better than AT-43?

put it like this we played all the missions, then put it back in the box and AT-43 hasnt seen the light of day since, the game just leaves you shrugging your shoulders and feeling a little empty.

im watchin one on ebay at th mo, depending on how it doese il sell my box on ebay or sell it of as seperate bits.

that said its better than 40k in design.

They rock, as do the rules.

I was much like Low Roller, went on Saturday wioth an open mind but a reasonably closed wallet (though I did have in mind that I would go British if I did get any, to tie in with A:2089)

Played a couple of games, and dropped £75 quid on 1000 points of EFTF Brits, I've another £55 of Brits waiting for me at my FLGS which will bring me to 1740 points, all I need now are some SAS

LBH

I got a Challenger and a Brit infantry squad today (my LGS screwed up my order, so I'm still waiting on my MEA troops and another squad of brits), and I'm so impressd with the paint jobs. the faces are th eonly problem on the infantry and the eyes aren't so bad - they only look crappy from certain angles, and the camo is really well applied. The only bent parts were the bipods on the LMGs. If I do any touvhing up at all, it'll be light washes to dirty them up, and maybe drybrishing a couple of the more orangy bases with bleached bone.

The challenger also looks great, but the mini has no weight to it, which feels very odd to me - I've not played a 28-30mm skirmish game with tanks in in a long time so I'm not used to how much they should weigh. But as it is, it feels a bit too much like a toy tank - especially as the bottom panel was loose and I could see it was totally hollow on the inside. Killed the illusion a little.

I'm very pleased overall, the paint jobs aren't perfect, but they're as good as I can do, so who cares?

As for the rules, I've not played any BF:evo yet, but I have been playing a different game with the same ruleset, and I totally love them. And the advanced rules will only make it better

I saw the models for the first time tonight, and they are so cool! the size took me back a little but you get used to them,

I'm in for this one the USMC are on the way as we speak !!

I can only comment on the rules, and I like them.

Very fast and streamlined. The core rules are a set of very small and simple rules that when taken together, form a nice framework for a game with lots more tactical depth than the simple rules would have you believe at first. Then

However, the rules aren't perfect, they're heavily abstract and relies a lot on individual unit special abilities to make things interesting. This is both a strength and a weakness depending on how you like to play. Right now, I really want a fast and simple game to play with options for more advanced stuff, and this really fits.

Havent seen the minis yet but the rules look great :) Will definitely be getting some sometime soon. (Certainly Tanks at least, may use my own infantry for now though)

The models are good. They are about the level at which I paint - with one wash or drybrush, not huge levels of details on the faces and the bases are better than I do.

The rules are a lot of fun. So I give the game a big thumbs up.

Have been looking time and again, the standard is someway below the origional picture releases, but still decent enough apart from the faces/eyes. Now I am a bad painter, but my word, even i could do better.
But the tanks look ace, and as I say, apart from the bad faces, everything looks good.

ha

no way im repainting the faces on

4 boxes of MEA
3 boxes of EFT
2 boxes of USMV
4 boxes of PLA

to be honest tyey are fine for games minis and better than what i see at most historical games clubs.
