Didn't F.I.S.T used to be some Steve Jackson phone game? :D
I definatly hated that!

Heh.

PLA players YOU NEED TROOPS. By the barrel-full. Because otherwise they die. By the barrel-full.

*mutters about technological advancement*

Still, missiles are FUN when you get to use them :)

Better than AT-43?

put it like this we played all the missions, then put it back in the box and AT-43 hasnt seen the light of day since, the game just leaves you shrugging your shoulders and feeling a little empty.

im watchin one on ebay at th mo, depending on how it doese il sell my box on ebay or sell it of as seperate bits.

Dude - I'm interested in the freight container and the barricades & maybe the human guys - don't care about the game proper but dig some of the components

The component (Accessory Set 2) can get bought for $15

Thats:
2 x Containers
6 x Concrete wall bits
2 x Nanoresource Generators

Would that set be any good for BF:Evo?

Wha's on the poster in the set?

WorldWorks games has printable PDFs for a cargo container. You can load it up into photoshop to cut and paste a large sheet of them on cardstock.

It requires some assembly, but you're basically making a paper cube.

Kinda defeats the pre-painted idea though :-)

dont complain then. :P

Yeah, Reborn showed a lot of our club members the models, they were somewhat dissapointed. They claim the tanks are more like toys, in that they dont have a proper 'D' lock mechanism like most cheap model kits and that for 8 quid you can get a better detailed tank from Dragon, sure they are the wrong period, but puts it in perspective. They say the infantry are good. I showed them the Techicals and they thought these were quite cool, they saw improvements in detail and paintjob, so wave 2 is looking up. Frankly, they are p***ed off that it won't be available at our show.
Oh well, surely they will begin to like it once its all out on the table, gaming 'n' all.

They're bound to get better. Although it's weird since the MEA figures are quite large compared to the PLA, USMC, and EFTF. Obviously there were some scale issues there. :P

Woot! Getting my minis today! Can't wait! I'll be leaving my opinion and vote soon. I love the honest responses to this thread, thank you!

Anyways, found the game reviewed at http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=100461

Good resource for miniature gamers.

Check it out!

Has anyone taken a look at the thread on TMP yet?
Very negative, infact the only possitive comments appear to be from people who post on here regularly... Possibly worth some people on here siging in and trying to defend it, it is one of the largest mini's forums around after all:

considering its the largest mini forum, i have to say i dont personaly know a single gamer who uses it.

id asy privateer press forum was bigger !!!

people fear change and sombody needs to point out all the naysaying is from peopel who probably dont own any or who have been pressurised by friends not to like them.

I don't know what they're making such a fuss about when they bring up AT-43.... Some how I don't feel like paying close to $35 for 6 figures, even if they are prepainted....

Actually Max I thought the posters were fairly even. There ARE issues with the vehicles, and some (me included) have issues with the pricing. Trying to out shout TMPers is a non productive unless you have a very well reasoned argument. You have to remember that TMP is not a house forum, so slavering over the product without recognising that there are issues, or shouting down others opinions will just get you marked as a "Fanboy" or doghoused. I would guesss that TMP also has a far older demographic than here, which makes a difference.

If the product is good enough, it will sell
