Section needs a re-write. I apologise if this seems harsh, but vehicles and heavy weapons currently unplayable. A significant cause is the scaling x10 damage, but it is not the only cause. Some examples:

a) How does DD work with Penetration and better ammo? 1DD = 10 AP?

b) How does AP at the vehicle scale work in other scales? multiple and divide by 10 as well?

c) How does bonus +1D ammo or +2D ammo work in DD weapons? is it +1 or +2 DD?!?!

d) Vehicle weapons are very much out of whack. Examples:
i) Fusion gun - 2DD. Thats 20 to 120 damage.... a TL15 g/carrier has 6 armor... 6. 20 hull. Rolling anything but snake-eyes and it's gone.
ii) TL5 Artillery weapon does up to 180 vehicle damage... really? a TL5 artillery weapon will annihilate half a dozen TL15 vehicles in one shot?
iii) Many freaky examples in artillery
iv) The Cannon is a "large calibre gun used to arm heavy tanks of mid-tech". Great. Except it's 1DD and so this TL8 cannon will annihilate TL15 G-carriers and many other vehicles.
v) I lied. Because most mid-tech vehicles will use APDS ammo with their Cannon, giving it an AP rating of 30 in vehicle scale? or 3? we don't know. regardless that is 30 AP in personal scale. So it will obliterate the TL15 g-carrier. Whats interesting, is advanced armour is even more useless because the average 1970 tank will now blow holes right through battle armour that is packed inside 2 g-carriers!
vi) Gauss again. Why is gauss technology so inferior? Who cares if you auto-fire? at 4-5 TL levels high, we've somehow created weapons that do TEN TIMES less damage than the 1970 equivalent.
vii) Ammunition - exasperates the above problems. Autocannons are better than gauss canons several TLs before gauss canons are invented.


I honestly offer my services to help you folks re-rewrite this section, as almost every entry has an issue. MGT1 vehicle weapons had a lot of dice involved and a couple of weird under powered weapons - but it was still very much functional. This is a significant step backward though.
 
A recommendation to begin fixing this.

Remove the x10 multiplier damage.
Multiple vehicle armour by 10.

Then assess. You'll note there will be much less inconsistencies and weirdness now.
