ok then, valid reasons for the G'Koth
1) It has existing stats in a mongoose created product
Check
Good
2) It has a ready made model available
Check
Good
3) G'Quans look cool (ok, this isn't the best argument, but I like it)
Not a good reason
Why not exactly? We play minaitures games (at least most of us do) at least partly because of cool looking miniautres. If I didnt care about the minis Id just use counters!
4) Raid has been stated as the achilles heal of Narn, and Battle isn't great either, a ship that Narn players believe is pretty good apart from speed would partly adress this perceived weakness
I prefer fixing what is wrong rather than putting in what would be a superior choice
I dont think anyones saying we shouldnt adress the weaknesses in the other ships but I dont see why we cant use this as well!
5) It will annoy EP.... (this one is said very much tongue in cheek!)
Mission failed, I wouldn't care!
It was tongue in cheek... And for someone who doesnt care youve voiced alot of objection to it...
6) it's not unbalancing, and it's not unheard of for varients across 3 levels
Well not much longer
I really have to agree with Burger here Im afraid. Were not discussing 2nd ed here or sweeping changes to the fleet list were talking about allowing the use of an existing ship without any kind of changes at all. Not an alteration of stats or anything just a simple 'yes the G'Koth is still around after the EM war'. And 2nd Ed is still at least 6months off from what I know. ACTA is what 3 years old tops? 6 months is a long time.
