0.01% actually.Well, if there isn't a star around, then it drops to 0.1%. You aren't really doing much of anything at that point.

Moving slow invalidates your point of no movementThe pg 224 chart in the World Builder's Handbook has 0.1% efficiency unless I'm having a reading issue. But either way you aren't moving very fast.
You're probably right. The pg 224 chart in the World Builder's Handbook has 0.1% efficiency unless I'm having a reading issue. But either way you aren't moving very fast.
No, it doesn't. You are moving, barely. What is that, like .0098 m/s2? That makes is kind of hard to get anywhere, especially since everything is moving. You jump in, you spot a comet. How are you going to catch it?Moving slow invalidates your point of no movement
Now that is a very different questionYes, but how long will that take at such a low acceleration?
Well, first, your issue was inability to reach feul depot and stations out in an empty hex. And so you adjust your jump entry to be trailing or heading, depending which is easier to do. Moving slow lets you dock with the station. The station can have tugs to pull you in.No, it doesn't. You are moving, barely. What is that, like .0098 m/s2? OR you just ignore the ignorant rule and carry on as normal.Well, first, your issue was inability to reach feul depot and stations out in an empty hex. Now its how to catch a rogue comet.
If you were gonna go after the commet, then you can bbuild velocity before going int jump, then use your min. drive to course correct and do a slow break. If you're going comet hunting, you'd go in with an rdrive.
If you've misjumped into an empty hex, you're still dead. So that hasnt changed.
This isnt related to question I was asked.OR you just ignore the ignorant rule and carry on as normal
I suppose it depends on how precise you think jump arrival is. If you think its precise enough you can pull of those maneuvers, sure.Well, first, your issue was inability to reach feul depot and stations out in an empty hex. Now, roll a 5 for your engineer flipping the jump switch.I suppose it depends on how precise you think jump arrival is. If you think its precise enough you can pull of those maneuvers, sure.
Not sure how, with all systems all in orbit around the galatic center. Gravity wells are a some sorta wall, not a light house.I kinda suspect precision is linked to existing gravity wells, at the other end of the rabbit hole.
Not a wall. You can jump from within a gravity well at a penalty. Not sure how, with all systems all in orbit around the galatic center. Gravity wells are a some sorta wall, not a light house.
