Finaly got the Rulebook.

Have been playing Traveller since those little black books first arrived on the shelves many many moons ago. I finally got round to ordering the main Traveller rule book, which arrived today.

It feels like christmas has come early.

Heres hoping that I can now find some time to actually read through it.

The Core Rulebook (CRB) is all you need to begin play. You might want to get a group of players around the table and encourage them to buy the CRB themselves.

You might also want to eventually start getting some of the Sourcebooks, Supplements and Adventures too. There's a pretty wide choice to date, and from what they've been saying in Mongoose, the choice is only going to get wider. Just look up the main Mongoose site and click on the Traveller logo, and see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I have followed MGT since its launch but allways held back from buying it.

I have all the CT Books, T4, 2300 & MegaTraveller...along with FASA Supplements and JTAS too.

How easy is it to incorporate this stuff, especially CT.

It's close enough to CT that you shouldn't have much trouble utilizing CT source material with it.

Is there only one Edition / Printing of the main Rulebook. Has there been any Errata that has been incorporated into a Second Printing, or is the one I have in my hand the latest?

I have the old paper book and the new PDF. There doesn't seem to be any edition notes or print run numbers like in the US. Quickest way I found to differentiate them was to flip to the "Agent" character creation on pages 10-11 and look at the sketches. Old book on pg. 11 has 3 sketches of agents a the top, one on the left has a riot shield and futuristic club. New edition has two agents on pg. 10 and one on pg. 11, all of much better quality. Pg. 11 is a "man in black" with sunglasses.

I've got 2 copies of the old version and 1 copy of the new version.

If you're buying from Mongoose, I believe they're only selling the new version. Simplest thing to do is to email sales@mongoosepublishing.com
