I need to pull out of this because of personal reasons - I am sorry for the short notice and hope you all have fun.

Hash, NO !!!!! I was looking forward to thrashing your Green Drazi Butt, now what am I going to do?

Cpt K
I shall take Hash's place with my GREEN DRAZI fleet!!!

Remember you can only spend XP's to repair damage points if your ship is not crippled. If it is crippled, you can neither repair damage points or uncripple it.

Thanks Burger, I challenge you vile Greenies to a fight to the death. Can someone get Matt to set us up against each other.

To be honest I would have preferred to play Hash...... Because I think you are better than him :) so I probably will lose, but I am determined to kill as many Green drazi as possible on the day.

Cpt Kremmen
PS Out of interest I have had to paint so many darned Drazi for Saturday, I don't really think I need all of them after the tournament. If I was selling one well painted fleet box (with extra fighters) would anybody be interested??

To give you some confidence, I came 2nd from last in the ID Gaming tournament last weekend, and 8th of 12 in the previous tournament ;)

Down with the purples!!!

You can never have enough Drazi!

Hey guys,

I need a little help, I was finalising my fleet lists and realised I'm short of counters (Due to my spare packs being packed away somewhere and I can't find them)

Can someone who's going to the tourney please lend me a [SHIP CLASS CLASSIFIED] counter for the duration of the tournament?

I'm one short for my fleet list.

Of course if one of them dies in the early games the problem will solve itself.

ANy help would be appreciated, I do not want to be up till the early hours on Saturday morning digging through boxes looking for ACTA stuff.

Cheers

LBH

EDIT: Edited to remove info about my fleet choices, and my Thanks to LR

I don't really have a clue about this XP thing and will get it wrong on the day, is anyone adjudicating to ensure that no one either

a) cheats
b) (me) hasn't got a clue and does it wrong?

I don't know what kind of official enforcement there will be, but here is a summary of XP's and how you gain and use them in this tournament.

Gaining XP
For every battle you lose, each of your surviving ships that were involved gains 2 XP. For every battle you win, each of your surviving involved ships gains 4 XP. This is in replacement of the normal XP table, you do not get XP for killing, crippling enemy ships etc. You just get 2 XP per ship if you lose, and 4 XP per ship if you win. No more.

Spending XP
Increase crew quality. For 1 XP, you can attempt to increase crew quality. Roll a D6, if the result is greater than your current CQ then it will increase by 1. If the result is equal to or lower than your CQ, the XP is wasted.

Repair ship. Any number of XP can be spent to repair damage to a ship. For each XP spent, roll a D6 and multiply by 3. This is how many damage points are repaired. Crippled ships may not spend XP in this way.

Refits/Other Duties. For every 2 XP you spend, you may make one roll on either the refits or other duties tables for that ship's race. If results cannot be applied, re-roll. You cannot re-roll simply because you do not like the result.

Tactical Judgement. Any number of XP may be kept aside for use in future battles. Each XP dice spent allows you to re-roll one dice that directly affects that ship (it can be your or your opponent's dice, eg stealth rolls made against you). Note XP dice do not allow you to re-roll a re-roll, so you cannot use an XP to re-roll a twin-linked weapon, and you cannot use a second XP to re-roll the same dice again if you still do not like the result.

Just curious on who is moderating the Duties/refits, and whats to stop someone from changing it between tables?
The PDF says that all XP expenditure must be witnessed (as in, signed) by your opponent, on the sheet which will be distributed at the tournament.

Though I don't know what's to stop someone from rubbing off a bit of crew loss or damage between games, or even resurrecting ships...

Frankly, I trust each player who will be attending and if they cheat then it's only themselves who will know and have to bear the guilt. Afterall, what's the point in winning through cheating? You haven't actually earned anything!

It all looks like it is open to a lot of abuse to me....

I think I will use my points to repair any damage I can and then after that reroll dice I don't like in upcoming battles.

on the damage sheets just print off one for each ship and use a pencil in game. once post game repairs have been done then fill in the blanks using a pen.
the people with laminated sheets are most likely to lose ship damage etc as it accidentaly gets rubbed off.
on my fleet roster I have a section to record current damage/crew levels of each ship.

Yeah, I'll be using un-laminated ship sheets for this one. Fresh off the printer at work. All I can say is... thank goodness for my new format sheets, with 12 ships per A4 page!
