Fighter Stacking

A recent ruling by Matt Sprange says yes, you CAN overlap fighters onto ship bases. You cannot overlap fighter on fighter, nor ship on ship, but you can overlap fighter on ship.

Yeah like LBH said, in the earlier post I thought you meant stacking fighters on top of each other :P

Two situations are still unresolved then...

Fighter in support role of another fighter. We have not had an official answer on whether this fighter should be placed on the base of the other fighter as the support rules seem to imply or where it should be. You right now indicate you are going on support by placing a friendly fighter on the base of a ship. There is no indicated way for a fighter to go on support of another fighter is going onto the base is not the answer. Similarly there is no way to go 'off' support either.

The second issue is that the enemy can effectively put more fighter stands on you base than you can when dealing with large bases and or double based ships. I had not seen Matt make a ruling that limits friendly flights on friendly ship bases but the support rules say if you are on the base of a friendly ship this means you are in support and limits you to four such flights.

I understood Matt had rules that you can only stack on the bases of ships you are attacking or escorting, so friendlies can only have 4 flights stacked on their base under the escorting rules.
