FA Brakiri Ship Scratch build

Hey guys, I just finished building a FA scale Brakiri Cidikar heavy carrier.

in the background you can see the beginning of my Corumai Dreadnought/Lykorai Carrier

That's pretty impressive!

The Brakiri are one race with plenty of room for expansion, both in terms of established AoG ships and fluff wise having a large empire.
 
well in B5 Wars it has:

2 Hvy laser Cannons(Both forward)
2 Graviton pulsars (90 degree front)
3 Graviton Pulsars each side (180 Degree arc)

4 Falkosi flights, 4 Pikitos Flights

in ACTA i suppose it could be:

I jsut pulled that sort of out of thin air, so it probably isn't balanced, but it's a start.
 
Id bump the forward Laser Cannons up to 3AD tbh, ie the same as a those on a G'Quan (theyre basically identical in laser terms in B5Wars).

Maybe bump the side pulsars down to 6AD each. With those changes it looks pretty decent for a Battle level choice to me then. (I know you probably toned the weapons down to compensate for its carrier ability but should be fine like that tbh, and its not like Falkiosis are the scariest things in the game anyway ;))
 
I think that a 3AD beam would be a little over the top for this ship especially as its meant to be a carrier - the G'Quan is a Heavy Cruiser - big difference in rolls and hence armaments.

Working the stats so far, I would suggest...

I have bumped up the laser a little, the forward pulsars, added rear pulsars, reduced side pulsars but increased the AD of the gravitic bolts as I deam that a carrier would have good anti-fighter weaponary

what do you think?
 
Morgoth, pretty good, exept that it is supposed to be weak on Pulsars in the rear, and Heavy on the sides. How about 6 on the sides and 3 on the rear. Same number all around, but weak in the spot it's supposed to be.

I started Working on an Antoph Light cruiser as well, to keep busy when hte putty I'm using on the Corumai dries. It's actually going to be done before the corumai.

Why Battle priority? The ship that has been statted up there pretty much replaces the existing Brokados Battle Carrier. More Fighters, more Pulsars, better Carrier, all for a bit less damage and no Command.
 
that is why i initially had it will only 1 AD of Hvy laser cnnon, nad no Graviton pulsars in hte rear. it's supposed to have roughly half the Heavy laser cannon firepower of the Brokados( 4 on hte brokados vs 2 on hte Cidikar in B5wars)
 
Well it could be re-stated and made into a war priority ship, up the damage and crew a bit more. Up the pulsars and gravitic bolt a little as its a higher priority ship. Could change the laser from B to F as its war level. thoughts?
 
PRoblem with upping it to Prioity level was that I was going to have teh Corumai dreadnought and Lykorai Suppercarrier(Corumai varient) at war Level.

THa's why i went to hte effort of making it weaker in offensive firepower, less hull, less crew, and no command bonus. 1 AD represents it having the limited abiliy to reach out and touch somone, and keeps it in line with the Brokados, which has twice the Hvy laser cannon firepower.

THat's my original set of stats, with some downgraded side pulsar batteries. now it has the same amount of pulsars, jsut allocated to different arcs. the Gravitic bolt is the same, and ht has half the HLC firewpower.


On another not, i've finished my Antoph Light Cruiser, nad Corumai Dreadnouht. Jsut need to paint them.

okay, regarding the Beam, why not take out the laser cannon completely and replace it with a graviton beam - say range 18 front Arc, 4 AD, Beam, Double Damage, slow-loading. Still think it should either have a limited defence to the rear - evem if itrs just 2 AD or instead add a couple of AD to the gravitic bolt.

Look forward to seeing the Antoph Light Cruiser and Corumai Dreadnouht though. Thought about stats yet??
 
For the antoph i was thinking this:

It's similar to a Narn Katoc in that it has great firepower forward, but it sucks in ever other arc, and against fighters.

as for the Corumai..... well, it's big. the model, roughly in scale, to an Avioki, is about 2.5 times the mass of a Brokados easily (in FA scale) it's probably a little bigger mass-wise then the FA-scale EA Poseidon. none of the art i can find show any of the 9 Gravitic beams, so I'm going to take a bit of licence with that detail-wise on the model.

wow, that dreadnought is huge compared to the rest of the fleet!!1 A true behemoth!! A ship that size could mount some serious firepower - Uber broadsides!!!
