Droynes outside of Droyne society (M2e)

It also completely ignores all previous canon on the subject.

The ACS2 write up of Droyne is too revealing of Droyne-Ancient links compared to the original 1105 information on them.

Andit is "a" history of the Droyne, not "the" history of the Droyne.

Every version has some things in common.

They were TL10 when the Ancients came on the scene

They lost the ability to caste until the mysterious event that spread coynes to Droyne worlds thousands of years ago.

GT was written by a fan base of authors who wanted definitive information, not loosey goosey stuff.

Don's Mongoose Droyne Alien book may still exist in some form...

"Species" isn't exactly a black and white definition anyway, just a handly label for discussion. There are many populations of creatures that can interbreed but don't, or which only breed under exceptional conditions. In human terms, one lot just aren't attracted to the other lot.

On the other hand, many plants are more than happy to hybridise with each other.

There's a lot of grey area, and new observations and experiments often shift how species are assessed. The various hominid groupings are at best provisional.

Won't work entirely. Too many cases of near identical DNA that won't or can't breed. And you need to sort out the plants and bacteria by different means since a lot of those can hybridise.

But it's a valid starting point.

That just means that We are not smart enough to do it yet or you haven't spent enough time researching family trees in West Virginia, USA...lol
