I defy anyone to put me in a racial catagory. Other than mankind. People have different social, tribal backgrounds yet all are human, all have the same basic genetic makeup.

My fathers family background includes Jewish, German, and American Indian, My mothers Irish, American Indian, and African. What race other than the humanrace, do I fit into? My grandfathers skin is dark brown, my other grandfathers, olive, my mother is fairskinned and my father's very fair. I have black hair, dark brown eyes, my skin is like my father's my facial features of my grandfather, we look like to of a kind except his skin is dark. ARE WE different races? HELL no.

In my family we have always called ourselves a "Duke's Mixture" have no clue where that term comes from!

We are ethnically; Irish, English, Welch, Dutch German, French, Pueblo and Cherokee that can guarantee . . . . beyond that who knows, I personally rule out nothing except Housecat and Hounddog. I have been called much worse than that.

I am not prejudiced against any race or religious group. I reserve my prejudice for individuals known by me personally,who deserve my active dislike. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Well, racism boils my pi$$ so I like to knock it back whenever it starts to rear it's head.
There was some research done a few years back, looking into the genetic differences between the racial groups, it was pretty interesting.
Here's a good one, y'know the old stereotype about aboriginal peoples (australia, american indians etc....) not being able to take alcohol? It's actually got a scientific basis.

A few hundred years ago europeans started to have the gene for alcohol breakdown 'selected' i.e. if you had it, you were more likely to reach adulthood and breed. Why? Because as our population exploded we got pretty filthy and cholera etc... became rife, if you drank beer/wine (everyone did, even kids, it was weak stuff) then you lived as the water was boiled and sterilised, so you didn't drink much dirty water. People without the gene died early and didn't pass it on. The Aboriginal peoples never needed this, they had small populations, lots of space and clean water. So the gene stayed as a rare random mutation. That's why a lot of aboriginal people are badly affected by drink, but anyone can lack the gene that's where real lightweight drinkers (one drink, red faced and flushed) come from. So we developed it from drinking water full of our own waste.
Another good one: Eskimos don't get facial frostbite, and don't need to cover there faces.. why? They lost the reaction to cold we get in our faces, i.e. the blood moves away to heat the core, for us it's a survival thing, we don't get cold that often, to an eskimo it's a daily thing, the blood keeps flowing and keeps the facial tissue alive. Why did that particular trait get passed on? 'cos Eskimos with no noses didn't get any action. If my family had moved from England a thousand years ago, we'd have the trait by now.
Or have no noses. So definately the same race.
