Bits and Mortar program question...

Treebore

Mongoose
I see that Mongoose is signed up as a partner, but the program description says things only about PDF's that are sold as a "bundle deal" in one of the usual fashions can be picked up via this program.

Since Mongoose never offers up PDF's as any kind of bundle deal with their print books, do they offer them up anyways via this program? Meaning, if I buy any Mongoose book at my LGS, do you guys allow us to get a PDF no matter what?

Or is Mongoose's partnership with this program effectively meaningless?

Whats the deal?

It's supposed to work like this - the publisher signs up for the program, allowing their works to be distributed in pdf format (I don't know who supplies them, I assume the publisher).

Then the retailer can offer a purchaser a pdf file for ever hardcopy they buy. Exactly how the retailer gets you the pdf is something I don't know. I just know the theory of how the program is supposed to work.

My local hobby store is (or has been for last few months) working to get into the program. But they are awfully slow. So I'm still waiting on them to actually do it and then (hopefully) backfill my orders for all the books I bought on faith with them in their participation of this.

According to the website they say they only offer a PDF via this program IF it is offered as a "bundle deal" with a print release.

Mongoose never does such bundle deals, yet is a partner in this program. It seems to be suggested that I may still be able to get a PDF as part of this (Zhodani book), but I see nothing saying how Mongoose supports this program.

My store claims to be part of this program, but they gave me bogus info about sending in a scanned copy of my receipt to get my PDF copy. When I asked the bits and mortar people they said the store themselves has to initiate it.

However, in that same e-mail exchange I asked specifically about the Mongoose partnership, and they said nothing on that topic, so here I am.

Hi Treebore I purchased some actual MGT books from Sentry Box in Calgary Alberta. They are in the Bits and Morter program. I got copies of all the books I puchased in PDF as an email link the store sent me. I did not get a PDF copy of the spinward marches map, or the character sheet pack I purchased. I believe that is because those 2 items are not actual books. The store took my email address and wrote down the titles of the books I purchased. I had nothing to do with the bits and morter website until I downloaded from the links from the store I got in my email.
