Battlefield Evolution - Damage Dice

Mongoose
Hi,
I have just bought some BE figures and have read the enclosed rules with great interest. However, I have questions about the use of damage dice as follows:

1. When a target figure is allocated more than one damage dice, does the combined total count against the Target and Kill ratings or are they counted as separate attacks? For example, a British infantry fire team scores 4 damage dice against a Chinese 3 man team; one of the Chinese figures is allocated damage dice of 3 and 1, does this count as 4 or as two separate rolls of 3 and 1?

2. Chinese figures have an armour rating of '-'; I assume this means that they are always killed/incapacitated by hits that equal or exceed their target number, is this correct? If so, why do they have a kill number?

Thanks,
Colin

My .02$

1) separate attacks
2) correct. Kill is just for sake of completeness and to avoid possible problems in future if kill becomes important even without armour.

Hi Cosmic Mongoose,

Thanks:).

The answer to question 2 makes sense but my initial thought was that multiple damage dice against a particular target should be combined. Otherwise, what is the point of allocating additional damage dice beyond the number of figures in the target unit, unless it is to help cause a double suppression when using an LMG? Also, the USMC Recon Team has a kill score of 7+, so how can one obtain an automatic kill against them without combining the damage dice, unless using a heavy weapon which uses a D10.

I have just realised the error in my earlier post; a damage dice of 1 would, of course, be discarded so please read it as 3 and 2, not 3 and 1!

Double suppression+if you allocate 1 and 5 to same guy he dies unlike if you had allocated just 2 ;)

And every weapon isn't supposed to cause automatic kill. USMC recon team just ain't going to be killed just like that without bit beefier guns.
