Are raiders now a playable fleet.

Hi,
I've always liked the idea of the raider fleet but have been put off by the reliance on fighters. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a power gamer that needs to win all the time and I don't mind a hard game. I like a challenge when playing but you need a sliver of hope for victory and not getting completely wiped out.

So with the new book and the changes in fighters, how do they perform?

Raiders definitely took a boost with the new rules, yes. Fighters are improved, and in tourneys you can play a Raiders-heavy combined League fleet. 3 Battlewagons, 2 Striekhawks and 4 Vaarls... that sounds pretty nasty to me...

Only tried them against Minbari so far..... obvious results. Still fun though.
