Am I being to tough?

I ran with them first up as most Intro adventures include most of the Core Tasks GM's and Players will be making during normal Game Play, I wanted to see how the PTB's did things before I started constructing my first adventures.

Combining the Merchant's Task and Enemy Mine in to a three act adventure (I take it how it was originally written) actually worked better than just the two acts of the Merchant's Task.

perhaps we could get them to bundle them together if they ever release a "Deluxe" edition of the RPG with an expanded Bestiary and a few of the other Sommerlund character types extracted from Heroes?

Yeah. I'd like to see the whole adventure 1-3 as one since it was written that way. A bundle would be nice. I am curious how they'll handle Sommerlund as well.

On the original line of discussion, I've actually been adapting some of the Conan RPG line adventure modules into Lone Wolf adventures. If anything it's a little bit easier to run them since the players don't need to be coerced into doing the right thing.

Most of the monsters have rough equivalents, and for those that don't I can hit the gamebooks to get appropriate CS/ED. Just about every kind of enemy I can think of is in there somewhere.

I thought "The Merchant's Task"/"Enemy Mine" was great, though I wouldn't award a Rank for it. I'd probably flesh it out with a further investigation, maybe combine it with another story to make it longer. After all we can only give out 5 Ranks right now before players can't advance any further so we have to make those Ranks last!
