About Beltstrike

Emperor Mongoose
This is due to be released sometime next year as a non-setting specific campaign, about space miners on asteroids.

The questions I'd like to ask are:

  • - How big will it be? (Epic or just a few tied up scenarios? 300 pages or 96?)
    - How compatible will it be with the OTU?
    - What are it's literary or film sources of inspiration? What will it's style be?
I don't expect these questions to be answered promptly, but it's the sort of questions that I'd be considering before I buy it.

I'm going to guess that its going to be in the same vein as Rune of Chaos is: a generic adventure to help GMs get an idea what play with the traveller rules system should look and feel like. I suspect it will be <100 pages. Maybe even as low as 32 pages. Compatability should be relatively simple. The astroid belt might be unnamed and there might be a sidebar stating that if you are using the OTU, these astroid belts would work with it.

Like I said, this is just my guess. I have not solid information about Beltstrike. All I know is that I read Rune of Chaos and Mongoose said they are going to use the way they made RuneQuest as a model. How closely they will follow that model, I have no information on that.

If it is a rework of the GDW beltstrike, it will be set in the OTU, but not be tied to the OTU strongly.
