2ED Compatability?

Greetings,

As a new prospective Conan GM looking into purchasing my first Conan products I find myself wondering at the prospect of the upcoming 2ed.

How useful is it estimated that the current edition's expansion books will be in the 2ed? Are there plans for revising/republishing these books into 2ed ( Much like Return to ROK? ). Is there likely to be much difficulty in the way of translating the material if there are differences? I'd hate to buy a bunch of the 1st ed stuff right before the 2ed line starts to come out.

Any guidance for what would be essential collection elements for a new prospective Conan GM would be welcome as well.

Your 1st edition material should be fully compatible with 2nd edition. You might need to tweak some stat blocks here and there - scholars get most of the changes - but you could use them straight off if you don't mind the odd inconsistency.
