    Civilian Vehicles Submarines

That raises the quest "Why bother to have a design system at all?" Anybody can just make stuff up. The point of a system is to make stuff up according to some logical guidelines. Now as a gamer, I concede that it isn't important to get all the details, or for imaginary future tech to work out...

    Civilian Vehicles Submarines

Hi folks, I'm the guy who sort of prevent rust's submarine fleet from submerging. I figured I'd pop around and chime in on this. First off, what determines if a ship float or not is buoyancy. If a ship weights less than the water it displaces it floats. If not it sinks. How submarines work is...

    Armour Skill Penalty

I think that would be how I would do it too.

    Demonology

How about a POW vs. POW roll to coerce the demon into doing what you want. Perhaps a Control demon spell. You could even have stuff that boosts the mage's POW for "convincing the demon". Like a approrapte sacrifce gives a bonus (POW of sacrfice or other apporpriate characterstic) OR a...

Problem on first game, experienced GM advice needed

In addition to the "do other kinds of things" idea, you could always put him in a place where he doesn't have the room to use the polearm. Like some small cramped Trollkin infested tunnels.

    New GM: How much loot?

homerjsinnott, You are assuming that Lord High Munchkin is English. He said "we" did speak French in England for hundred of years. Not "we English". If he, and the "we" he is referring to are decedents of the Normans, then yes, his statement is correct. They did speak French in England for...

    Argan Argar as war god...

That's probably why in the past, Trollkin were usually used as skirmishers and missile troops. Dark Troll infantry, backed up with trollkin. I suspect the toughest thing about fighting them is that unlike most armies, they don't mind fighting at night. That would be a tremendous edge to...

    Argan Argar as war god...

On the battlefield, I could see these as light troops, augmented by missile troops. The spear carriers screening the missile troops A bunch of sling stones or javelins coming out of a darkwall would be a nice opening move. If the foe charges, they run right into the spears (literally).

Cults of Glorantha Errata REALLY NEEDED

I think giving death Gods ressurection might not have been the best way to go in the first place. Not just for Humakt, but in most myths Deathe god either can't do it, or are very reluctant to. None seem to give it out to priests. They should have gotten some sort of Death magic. Considering...

    Minumum chance for skill increases?

I don't think it works that way in MRQ. It looks like once you have raised a skill above the base chance, attribute scores don't figure in anymore. So raising DEX after you got your sword up to 100% doesn't raise your skill to 101%.

Cults of Glorantha Errata REALLY NEEDED

THat;s just so wrong. No Gloranthaphile wrote that change. That HAD to be from someone with no knowledge of the setting going-"all the other gods get resurrection, we got to have game balance."

    New GM: How much loot?

Yeah the rollers thing was one possiblity. As for the artistic value, I'd have settled for the 19 million. I don't think even a FREE INT abusing sorcerer could get the INT 59 or so needed to move the darn thing. Yup. The best options were either to have a sorcerer form/set it into 1kg c...

    New GM: How much loot?

Well me, I'd have used a block & tackle, a team of horses and some sort of cart or sled to drag it. Or build a forge and try to melt it down in stages. Or go look for a sorcerer with form/set gold. I'm sure he'd be willing to waste a few months of his time for a share of the wealth, something...

    New GM: How much loot?

LOL! I once ran an adventure with some real wealth. The group found a golden statue of some long gone big shot. As gold is about 20 times as dense as flesh, the status weighed close to 2 tons, and had armoring enchantments on it just to keep the arms from falling off under their own weight...
