Went with the Ipsha, just coz of there weird looking ship

Would have preffered a choice including Hyach & Cascor tho

am surprised the Hyach arnt on the list actually. think them, the gaim, and pakmara should possibly added as more well know league races.

I went for the Gaim as there is the prospect to do something out fo the box with them. As long as it is not the second hand ship fleet.

Ipsha would be a close second. The battlesphere that appears in the series (Deathwalker I think) looked rather cool. And they are one of the larger league empires

The Belt Alliance, Pak'Ma'Ra have always had the feel of very minor powers. The Belt alliance as private security - Can't really see them having any large military ships. And the Pak'Ma'Ra were always outlined as independent traders. Might be worth adding a few small ship classes generically available to every League fleet.

Orieni could be a good race to open up an era before the Centauri Republic was at the hight of its power. There were also some of the older league races kicking around this time (Abbai, Brakiri, Drazi, Vree) so there are possibilities of other races around too (I think this was when the Abbai formed the League of Worlds). It would also open up the game histrically to the Wen'dan Horde, and the Streib.

'Thirdspace' Aliens, Covert EA with Shadow Tech, probably interesting for the odd one-off games.

Went with the Gaim, as they were the most active political power in the series from the list, even if we didn't see their ships in action. Even remember an episode where Sheri' is trying to get the Gaim to protect the Brakiri from the Shadows, so they must have a respectable fleet.

Definitely don't want to see more EA, there's way toooooooooooo many earthers out there already. For a young race they are already way to powerful too.

Also don't want to see the thirdspace things, haven't seen the movie but have herd it's frelling awful, and if they could easily crush the shadows/vorlons, who'd they be fighting, a grand alliance of the other first ones every battle?

It has to be the Third Space Aliens cool cool ships. Just because they had the ability to trounce the Vorlons at some point in the past doesn't mean they have that now and it doesn't have to be reflected that way in the game. Shadows and Vorlons are not the table top powers that they are in the show and the Dilgar are done purely from fluff and shouldn't have been released at all if logic and reason based on the TV dictate the choice.

Go on do some super cool Third Space Ships and make up for what you did with the Drakh

My impression was that they were powerful for their political effect, bringing the other races together, rather than pure military might.

Admittedly I'm only working from the series, not read any of the spin off series/books/internet sites or whatever else is out there, so I might be behind the times.

Went with Thirdspace ("We must open it!"), they look menacing. I'm sure Mongoose can design them to be fair  .

Ipsha was a close second. Their ships just look so cool.

@NAM, the EA proved their military might during the dilgar war, so its not just about heir political acumen

@Tank: Yes, but the real powers in the galaxy weren't involved (Minbari, Narn, Centauri, Vorlon etc)

No problem with EA becoming a major player, but they seam to have leapfrogged over races like the Centauri and Minbari, is that right?

Maybe Mongoos should have run this as a top 3 vote. Ipsha would be storming ahead by being nearly everyones second choice.

I would hesitate to say that the EA has leapfrogged the Centuari or the Minbari. The EA have their own strenghts and weaknesses but I believe that they are the weaker of the major powers.

Of course Adam (sitting here with me) firmly disagrees, he's very biiter about his fleet especially the number of weapon crits he has received to his primary weapons.

Hey, you make my point for me, by even admitting that the point is debatable.

However, I'm more against them getting more ships simply because there's too many of them. Only the combined league has more ships choices available, and to give them more, which I'm guessing Arm' has done, just seams like madness.

I also get the impression that the crusade era ships in Arm' are more powerful than the earlier ships, suggesting power creep.

At the start of the B5 timeline, you are absolutely right. By the end of Crusade. . .

@NAM the crusade era EA fleet is the same as the Minbari, top heavy but without some of the benefits, ok the main Minbari benefit stealth

@Msprange crusade Era EA I would still hesitate to say has leapfrogged the Minbari, certanly progress has been made against the Narn & Centauri, but, and there always is one, I remain unconvinced of a definite advantage against these races, certainly as long as EA is working with boresight they will always have to work a bit harder.

Bitching over

I voted Gaim, but would be happy also with Pak'Ma'Ra, or Belt Alliance.
too bad the polls do't allow multiple votes.
Chernobyl

Not bytching, Tank, friendly discussion surely.

I'm just more interested in other races than EA and would like to see all the races with twenty or more ship options before EA hits the forty mark.

I can see why the EA get a leg up, with elements of both vorlon and shadow technology available. However surely the Minbari were closer to the Vorlons and should be getting some Vorlon like technology in the crusade era, maybe the first Minbari ship with adaptive armour or self repair?

What about the Centauri, with Shadow and drak influence, maybe some shadow tech crusade ships for the Centauri are in order.

Just seams that the EA are getting all the goodies.

Another idea, how about one of the league races getting a leg up through secret shadow technology to become a greater power, suddenly the Brakiri with shadow tech being a major player for example.

NAM it was my bitching

Anyways I understand why people bitch about all the new goodies that the EA get but they are an up and coming race :)

Yeah would be nice to see more ships fill out the league rosters not sure about the Barn tho as they are plenty hard enough.

And Minbari with Adaptive armour, self repair and stealth? are you mad????

Maybe that it what is missing from the Neroon.

Doesn't the Adira get a Drakh GEG?

I thought that was where there adavanced cruiser and weapon designs came from.

Put quotes in the proper place.
