Mad, yes totally. What I've liked about the the game is the technological gradient between races. Still think the shadows and vorlons should be much more powerful.

OK, stealth, adaptive armour and self repair would be way too much. Not saying any one ship should have them all, but maybe the crusade minbari should have some self repair to keep their fragile hulls going a little longer?

I voted the Pak'ma'ra, they may have been a 'minor' political power, but there's something to be said about having a race with such...personality. ;) It helps that there are all ready Pak ship designs out there as well that people are familiar with and in many cases, own.

Personally though, I would really just like to see the league races in general filled out a little bit more. As a unified league you have quite a few choices for ships, but when it comes down to it none of the races have more then two choices at any given priority, and most only have one. (Note, I'm looking at core ships here, not varients.)

Glad to see the Gaim hanging in there in second, although I still think they are the top choice.

Sure, like the Pak' myself, but the Gaim would be more interesting due to the whole hive mind thing, plenty of opportunities for interesting rules, and a new race is the perfect place to introduce them.

They have one planet, no coherent organisation and special toilets.... The old AoG ship minatures for them were pretty boring too (although they were better then a Liarti).

Come on the Gaim!

Exactly my point, EA get all the goodies, and the others don't seam to get any. Course it will be a bitch to balance, but that's what playtesters are there for.

Not sure if it was your point and I put the quotes in the wrong place  . However,I think the EA are just being a whole lot more obvious about it than the rest as the shadows helped them amalgamate the technologies. I think one of the Brakiri corporations received Shadow help too, part of the orchestrated war with the Gaim, which may have lead to the Gravatic Lance and Gravatic Mines. Though I have no idea if that was speculation or cannon.

As to balance, it should not bee too much of a problem. There is the general Priority Level creep with the latter eras.

According to SFOS the Kaliva was developed based on Vorlon weaponry

I went with Thridspace, because they were pretty cool.

Hey, even though canon wise they should never come back. Why not use them as hypothetical threat models for wargames (just in case to do come back). Just because you play against them in a game dosn't mean it's canon, it could be a wargame simulation.

Also, would be cool for some sort of ancients battle with Vorlons against Thirdspace aliens.

Good point on the simulator battle idea, no reason why the 3rd space couldn't be 'recreated' in the simulators as a training exercise for other races.

Would also mean that they could be balanced against the other races, which would make them playable.

However, would still rather see the Gaim, they are more involved with the 3rd age poliltics.

Or a dedicated tournament fleet?

I still think there is more flavour to be had in beefing up the League with the Gaim. Pak'Ma'Ra still seem like the Leagues own UPS.

Yep the whole "Simulator" thing helps explain Dilgar vs. ISA or just some other weird face-offs/alliances that just don't seem right. A bunch of crazy strategists with lots of time and computer resources on their hands coming up with crazy what-if scenarios and determining their outcome.

Also allows you to do Shadows vs. ISA and such.

In fact I wouldn't mind seeing an expanded Shadow/Drakh fleet. Reading the Drakh RPG material their Shrine-Ship (I think that's what it was called) was a hybrid of Shadow and Drakh technology. Nice to see one of those as well as other Shadow/Drakh hybrids. Also nice to see maybe some Shadow ships (maybe powered down or limited in numbers) in the Drakh fleet in ISA time period. I mean the Shadows didn't take everything with them when they left, and they did leave some Death Clouds behind for the Drakh to find. Also, there's got to be more Shadow ships laying around. Given the Drakh worship the Shadows so much they'd certainly be interested in obtaining more Shadow technology.

Also what about those guys that attacked the Station in Season 5? Those would be another fleet that one could add easily as a threat to just about everyone.

I voted the EA because, errrrm, I misclicked because I was watching Battlestar galactica  , sooooo

Pikka Pakka Pikka Pakka Pak`ma`ra X 100 and please, new figs are fine great / fearing the worst (depending if they are Victory class level or Drakh not-Mothership mothership level) but please at least include rules for the ones that do exist already...

Throwing my lot in with the carrion-eaters!

Out of all the options mentioned I feel they're the most well-known and the most likely to get a decent amount of player demand.

I chose thirdspace because they are that much cooler than the Ipsha, and *i think* most of the other options listed are meant to be part of the league, and could all be done quite easily, and quickly, with little issue balance wise, as they don't require full fleet lists, as they are again, part of the league.
