Where did the Datacards go???

I think maybe the front page hasn't quite been updated properly. There are only 3 products for this month, while there are 30 for next month.

I allowed for that, they're not anywhere in last month's, this month's or upcoming releases, and even text searching the website produces no result.

Thay have disappeared...

We are having some arguments with the printers on the Datacards :)

At the moment, we are looking at either a) not doing them at all, b) splitting them into smaller and cheaper packs with each dedicated to one fleet or c) making them some sort of free download that players print off for themselves.

At the moment, we are leaning towards b), as the ability to wipe off and start again on the same card is pretty cool.

Definitely a vote for (b) - I'm sure I can find somewhere that can laminate things for me, but by the time I do it'll cost enough that I might as well get them bought that way.

A fleet pack sort of makes sense - they can always be bundled up as an offer commercially rather than in a single set of packaging if people particularly want.

I am also for (B), being able to lay out a card to correspond to my ship in the game greatly speeds up play. One of the issues I use to have in 2ed was spending 30 minuets writing down all the information for my ships, this really hurt the number of games we could play.

I just really hope they appear in some form or another. I like easy-access data-cards. They really speed up play.

And the idea of tracking damage as well was a winner.

Did you not use the online resources - in particular the downloaable sheets by Buger and Chernobyl and helpers which I for one found (and continue to find)to be a total godsend, especially given the amount of work put in.

If I was playing NA I would have prefered a resource like this as it is also updatable......

Option B or C please. Or better yet...

Both! ;)

Data Cards are definitely wanted in our gaming group. The homemade VaS ones we laminated have been absolutely vital!

I is looking like B at the moment, though we may delay them a little further in order to include the new ships from Fleets of the Fading Suns. We'll see how it goes.

Pity, the idea of having reference cards for my opponents ships as well appealed to me, and I'll bet buying all the fleets seperately would end up being dearer than if they all came in one pack.

Obviously this would be something that should be considered for ACTA: Star Fleet as well. For what it's worth, I would go for b) as well.
