What's your favorite fleet?

i like the centauri fleet cos they're my fave race in the show. and the ships in ACTA are quite hard-hitting.

i do wish they had more raid leve ships though, for more mid-level powered ships.

Closely followed by EA then Minbari, then Narn.

I've never played any other fleets.

v. difficult decision but i finally decided on Centauri because at the moment i am spending more time on them than any other race
but soon i will be playing Brakiri more and possibly Drazi but at the moment the Centauri are my favourite fleet.

well apart from the obvious answer of "it depends on the PL"! I always go for Vorchans, Primus, darkners

i usually play at raid level and my force generally consists of a Primus, Elutarian*, Centurion and a Dargan

Drazi. Prior to SFoS, I'd try and fit in a couple of Darkhawks (but as of SFoS the 3 AD missiles make them a poorer choice), a Solarhawk (although only at Raid or higher level) and a few Warbirds, with at least a Sunhawk or two (one point's worth, whatever the level). Post SFoS the Nightfalcon & Stormfalcon become good higher-level choices, one per scenario.

I like the Centauri best from a biased perspective. They were just the coolest with Swooping ships, bright clothes, parties and a bad attitude. Who could resist the bright Vorchan swooping through a cloud of debris with escorting Sentris. 8)
If I look from a purely objective, game-strategy perspective, the Centauri are still up there (especially with the new Rutarian king of fighters!) But I'd probably say the EA has the best fleet mix objectively for a long campaign, Minbari for short actions. But I love the Centauri.
My ships depend on the PL and opponent. Key vessels:
Darkner, Vorchan, and Primus for heavies. Maximus and Sentri or Rutarians for Anti-Fighter duties.

I picked Earth Alliance, but unlike Lockely, I know where my loyalties lie, and I will add my guns to the cause of putting down the Illegal, and unConstitutional Clarkist Regime.

If this makes me an enemy of EarthDome so be it, because you can always judge the character of a man by the calibre of his enemies.


((though I have a growinglove of the Brakiri cause I love the ship designs, and of course my fleet is as always at the disposal of President Sheridan, so I would expect to see a Nova or two show up with a white star escort. :->))

Uncross thy fingers Sneaky (Or should that be Smiley?), these things and a scenario for the battle in the Season 4 episode "Between The Darkness and The Light" appear in the draft SFOS rules.
